Germany and Britain called on Friday for a global economic watchdog with strengthened powers to prevent rather than react to financial crises that can spiral into worldwide recession.Cooperation amongst international financial institutions has failed to ward off the worst financial crisis in decades and a new charter should be forged, German Chancellor Angela Merkel told the World Economic Forum in this Swiss ski resort.
"This may even lead to a U.N. Economic Council, just as the Security Council was created after the Second World War," she said.

WW3 is on its way.
It always starts with a bad economy. That leads to social unrest and ultimately political upheaval.
Springtime 2010, mark my words. The Huns will roll into Poland. When times are good we all get along. When it gets bad our true nature is exposed.
A good war will help get the economy on track and by 2012 if we are still alive I say the DJI market has a good chance of being at 12,000.

Oh well, Ali, Ben @ Hank were not enough to slam the car against the wall now we need United Slammers...Perhaps Gordon Brown would qualify as the new FUN (Financial United Nations) Secretary General with his ineptitude he would certainly qualify.
