Touradjl promised that when he was “finished with [Beach], [Beach] would be ruined and completely unemployable on Wall Street.” Touradji added that he had had no intention of paying Beach the compensation he was owed.
At the end of the meeting, Touradji repeated his threat to destroy Beach and his family, and stated that he would have Beach killed if he crossed him.
Because Touradji screamed at Beach during much of this September 25, 2008 meeting, his threats were overheard by other Touradji Capital employees.
As a result of the foregoing events, Beach was compelled to resign from his employment with Touradji Capital on September 26, 2008, and thus was constructively discharged.
At the same time, he provided Tom Dwan, Touradji Capital’s Chief Financial Officer and Compliance Officer with a letter formally reporting Touradji’s September 5 and 25, 2008 verbal attacks and physical threats.
On September 26, 2008, Beach filed a police report in New York City detailing the threats Touradji made against him and his family, including the threat to have him killed.

Apparently today is death threat day at Dealbreaker. Perhaps Touradji should have expressed his ire in our comments section. Much safer than screaming in the office.

Paul is a bit psycho, but unlike any boss on Wall Street.
I wonder what he would do to Madoff if he had invested with him?

@9 BofA is going to TARP its way out of this mess. It would be easier to go to your nearest BofA walkin and hand them your wallet and walk out.

I’ve worked for a screamer before. It ain’t worth it. He used to literally turned blue in the face. It was clearly to cover for his own idiocy/mental illness. I got out of there (BofA Securities) as fast as I could.
    Best move I ever made.

  15. Posted by guest | January 15, 2009 at 12:38 PM

@14: I used to work for Gabelli. He too screamed like a madman, belittling you whether your were right or wrong. It was brilliant – you were left cowering in fear at all times, so even the most mild positive comment left you feeling like you’d just been nominated for the Nobel.
But question: how far down was Touradji in Sept. 08? Maybe he was just having a bad day.

  16. Posted by guest | January 15, 2009 at 12:45 PM

@15 i interviewed with him. seemed so mild mannered. but i can see he had a fire in him

  17. Posted by guest | January 15, 2009 at 12:52 PM

Read the complaint against him by Robert Ellis from their Catequil days. The guy is completely nuts.

these sorts of circumstances always take my mind to … so what are these guys like behind closed doors, when they know no one else will know. If they act that way almost in public, then … thats when the real McCoy show their colours. Crooks and Liars and Cheater and Stealers, the me generation, the whole lot of them. if there was a deal, pay the money, don’t be a schmuck. Honour your word. What the hell has happened to integrity?

Perhaps if the higher-ups on Wall Street lived in fear that their (usually) more athletic underlings could beat their ass senseless upon being dismissed due to said higher-ups various failures, we’d have a nifty solution to this whole debacle, not to mention the potential for some great tie-ins for the PPVs!

Why is it that so many of these bosses get on power trips and treat all of their employees like dirt? I think these guys believe you can’t be fair and honest while still making money. If that’s the way the world works today, then I’m glad things are imploding.

Touradji, even from the Catequil days has been a cocky little man with a small manhood. He screamed and shouted back then and refused to pay his partner what was owed. Just look at this man’s history and $28MM being asked is not enough. He should be locked up in a cell with Plaxo. Then he will know what it feels like to get f**ked up the behind. What a sorry excuse for a human being.

    Any_last,
I’ve worked for/reported to multiple Fortune 500 CEOs on and off WallSt.
*None* of them were screamers, all of them were wildly successful, several to the 9 figure and up range.
Gym/yoga/amp/mistress/LV/G&T is what you do to relieve stress, not humiliate people.

Well-paid finance guy got yelled at by his boss? What jury is going to care?

  39. Posted by guest | January 15, 2009 at 4:38 PM

@38 read the complaint. He was not paid his fair share over 3 years. The threats were tangential.

I met Gentry couple summers ago in Southampton. Big dude, cute little kid and a very acceptable yellow Ferrari. Easy to not forget that name – we were just talking cars, seemed like a decent guy.

I worked with people who knew beach at morgan stanley, he was commonly thought of as an idiot. It was a bit of a running joke, i guess this is his only way to make money he was never really smart enough to do it the proper way.

  43. Posted by Guest | May 27, 2010 at 12:45 PM

Yahoo for comment #42…you hit the nail on the head. “idiot” is a nice name for Mr. Beach! He’s all that AND a bag of chips! so is his dad!

  44. Posted by Guest | June 1, 2010 at 11:02 AM

Hey #42……Gentry Beach is an “idiot”……you hit the nail on the head. Update on Gentry Beach…..his grandmother died, his grandfather who is 88/89 has dementia, Alzheimer’s, diabetes, legally blind, and yet Gentry Beach is trying to bilk his poor old grandfather out of his trust fund of 2 mil, along with the help of daddy, Gary Beach. Like father like son, a great pair of con artist. This is considered elderly abuse????? or just plain stealing!!!!!!

It will be interesting to see if Touradji craters and settles or if he really has the balls to go to trial. He talks a big game. We shall see…
