We Don’t Know, Is It?

From an inquisitive reader:

“Is it really true that at the JPM Life Sciences conf in San Fran they gave out a mug with instructions that feel free to use the water cooler but no drinks or snacks or cocktail parties will be provided.”

You tell us.

While cutting expenses isn’t a bad thing (lots of room for improvement pretty much up & down the street), doing so to distract media/other sheople from the underlying issues (poor risk management, blah blah) is retarded. I’m sure at least a handful of shops will, inevitably, overshoot the mark by quite a bit, as always seems to be the case

I doubt it unfolded exactly as written here, but in this environment its considered bad form and therefore downright stupid to be extravagant.

It is true, but you don’t know the whole story. They only had one mug for all of the participants to share, and the A/C wasn’t working…
