    Contango trade is old news. A few major funds have already done the trade on a massive scale (rented and filled tankers got insurance etc.). I’ve heard that ~5% of current global tanker capacity is taken up by arbitrage plays on the contango.

    I do know which firms but I sadly can’t disclose to my db brethren as it will give away my sources. Let’s just say $5 billion+ aum and positive returns last year for most of them (narrows the field huh).
