Picture 724.pngThe wife’s coming back from behind herself! After finishing 2008 down 16 percent, Anne Dias-Griffin’s Aragon Global Management, a Tiger Cub, turned in a relatively stellar -0.04 percent for January. And (presumably) no frozen redemptions to speak of!

CNBC Hampton Pierson is saying the bill has passed the house. Can they mess around with electronic voting?

Since Bess mentioned it, who wants to start the debate of whether or not Anne (and her firm) is a Tiger Cub?

  9. Posted by guest | February 13, 2009 at 2:46 PM

@8- she received seed money from Julian Roberston, and was also a mentee of him. she is a tiger cub, by both definitions.

  10. Posted by guest | February 13, 2009 at 2:47 PM

Tiger Cub? That’s a bit rich.

  11. Posted by guest | February 13, 2009 at 2:52 PM

@9 – Surely there must be some period of time or length of service that is a qualification?

  12. Posted by guest | February 13, 2009 at 2:54 PM

Not a cub, but cub of a cub!

  13. Posted by guest | February 13, 2009 at 2:59 PM

If Ken has another year like 2008 I think the former Cub will become a Cougar.

  14. Posted by guest | February 13, 2009 at 3:06 PM

@10- really? cause she worked for, and received money from, julian roberston. those are the qualifications for being dubbed a cub.

  15. Posted by guest | February 13, 2009 at 3:07 PM

    @13 – LOL
Seriously if you had Kenny’s billions would you really be with her or be banging the SI covergirl ?
I’d like to see a composite return number for all the Tiger cubs. What a brilliant marketing scam. I pushed the elevator button a few times for Julian at 101 Park does that make me a cub ?

  16. Posted by guest | February 13, 2009 at 3:09 PM

@15-”I pushed the elevator button a few times for Julian at 101 Park does that make me a cub”
no. learn the definition of a cub before commenting again.

@15-SI covergirls are for fucking, not marrying.

  18. Posted by guest | February 13, 2009 at 3:15 PM

@15- that’s the difference between you and kg, apparently. he knows you don’t make a ho a housewife.

  19. Posted by guest | February 13, 2009 at 3:42 PM

Ken is a genius, keep the wife busy at her hedge fund….and find time to lay some pipe with the ladies…..

  20. Posted by guest | February 13, 2009 at 4:52 PM

@15 I would guess K.G. likes the fact he can have a conversation with his wife. That might be difficult with a S.I. cover girl, since it requires that she be able to form sentences.

Am I the only one a little creeped out by the happy emanating from those two? Psychically shared happy? The type of psychic bond that makes married couples wear matching polyester suits. It looks like they both mainline Xanax or something….

  22. Posted by guest | February 13, 2009 at 9:25 PM

She also worked for Viking before starting her fund. yes, she got money from Julian and yes she is routinely roaming 101 Park (she is part of the posse, for sure). The chick is damn good. Ask any of the well-known Tiger guys and they will say the same. Not her fault Ken got out over his skis.

  23. Posted by guest | February 13, 2009 at 10:15 PM

citadel employees should concentrate on running their fund and not commenting on blogs!

  24. Posted by guest | February 13, 2009 at 11:55 PM

@22- who said anything was her fault?

  25. Posted by guest | February 14, 2009 at 5:07 AM

KG and Robertson (no so much mrs. KG) are all part of a human need to believe in a greater power than themselves. It’s sorta like Monty Python’s Life of Brian. Nerdy dork starts a fund in his Harvard dorm room with money he saved from his newspaper route, next thing you know through a series of strange events…he is a God of Finance with followers surrounding him…..truth is he is still a dork…Robertson same story but with 1980′s southern gentleman twist. We need to believe…..

KG can’t really have a normal conversation, he is sort of a social retard, so i think for a wife he would be equally good with either a covergirl whom he doesn’t have to talk to, or a colleague with whom he can talk business.
