Apparently analysts are "at risk" today through early March, with VPs and above, who weren't shown the door by January 21, getting the axe at the next round in May.

In the hay days, probably none except for the revolver on bank loans.
They may have retained some to stuff into a CLO or CDO to be sold later on.
A lot of the CLO and CDO stuff ended up in SIVs later to come back on balance sheet.
