Carlyle is going to have to do without their Gulfstream 450, apparently. Those, of course, are not its only problems.
In December, the firm announced plans to slash 10 percent of its staff–the first layoffs in Carlyle’s 20-year history–and it also said it planned to close down its Silicon Valley office.
Tough times for the mile high club.

That N-number (885AR) is registered to “RABBIT RUN LLC” – some sort of commercial development company in KY. Ironically, RABBIT RUN LLC reserved a new N-Number of 885RR on 10/30/08. Wonder if Carlyle’s selling this plane only to get a different one? After all G450 is a little outdated (this one was built in late 2004).
Kýrie, eléison.
How is Carlyle going to get down those roads that they must travel, through the darkness of the night?

carlyle is considered a “financial” firm? that’s rich.
This is all window dressing for the state pension plans that are losing their asses in Carlyle’s funds. The next thing to go are the candy dishes of Viagra for Bush Sr., Jimmy Baker, Lou, et al.
