@9, There was plenty of legitimate income. Madoff securities was one of the biggest market makers on the NASDAQ. At one point one out of every five trades was being routed through that shop. Bern just had this little side hobby where he churned his friends’ accounts down to nothing while he sent them glowing reports of their riches…
