as a long time connecticutter (connecticutite? connection? connecticutian?) i can say the guys in office now (blumenthal, rell, etc) are probably the least corrupt state officials since we were a colony.
our senators are a very different matter (dodd i’m looking at you)

what’s the % of total taxes paid by the top 1% in CT?
everyone keeps saying the richest 1% in NYC pay 50% of the total taxes collected. Is the same true in CT?

Somebody has their Nantucket Reds in a bunch….
I would love to see one of these AIG execs come out of his house and, in his best Calhoun accent, just say:
“Nawwwt a dime back….My best advice to you is….shut up…”
and see where the media goes from there, strictly for entertainment purposes.
If Connecticut politicians spent some time enforcing the laws instead of taking bribes (Rowland, Ganim, about 45 others) or touching kids (Giordano) this wouldn’t drip with as much irony…
