I wasn’t bashing or nut riding (today). After 5 clips of BO saying “i consulted with my friend warren buffet”…”my friend warren buffett”… “oh excuse me, it’s my friend warren buffett, lockbox”…I would have expected WB to stand up for him a little more than stumbling around before saying he has spoken with “some people in the administration” and that he is the right guy for the job.
shit, at least let me adjust for daylight savings time.

so buffett officially hates vik. I bet pandit bear is in the fetal position somewhere asking what he did to upset the big O^2 (c down to $1.02 pre-market). I agree with @2, it really was a 3 hr love-in, whereby warren could talk his book (and becky could dote attentively). did he have to pay for that airtime, or did it come with his investment in ge? seriously, how can he say usb and wfc are the only good banks out there? wtf? perhaps he didn’t read the 10K from the chariot, er, stagecoach that was on fire because he was too busy touting his own last weekend. I’m not sure you can say c is worthless, yet wfc can earn “$4 bn in a ‘good’ market”. I think the big guy has finally lost it…

The world markets are collapsing (again) and CNBC devotes the morning to Buffet’s musings. Another case of CNBC choosing “commentary” (guest talking his book) rather than actual news. CNBC billing it as “Buffet restoring trust in the markets.” Plezzzze!
Now if Buffett were beating the markets — OK, his opinions would be valid. But we should care about WB’s- mea culpas , folksy, permabull, ah shucks value investing….why? He’s getting broker and broker just like us. Of course, he’ll never really be broke.
Anyway this Buffet interview is really an infomercial for Wells Fargo, Geico and policial advertising to “get everyone behind Obama’s plan” whatever it may be. Ridiculous.
