Picture 968.pngAs you’re a aware, a whole slew of groups and individuals have threatened bonus-receiving AIG employees. So far, though, that we know of, none have made good on their intentions, leading us to believe they’re bluffing. This is not the case across the pond, where their British doppelgängers attacked the Edinburgh home of former RBS chief Fred “The Shred” Goodwin, early this morning, smashing several windows and the windshield of his Mercedes-Benz S600. At issue: the matter of FG’s £700,000/year pension despite the minor matter of the bank reporting the largest annual loss in British corporate history last month.

    Don’t worry, G20 summit is coming up, so I am growing a beard and getting a mangy dog so I can make it past all the protestors to go to work. US has a lot of catching up to do.

    Goodwin told them all to fuck off, he was keeping his pension. I guess he is getting some push back.

    Oh tally ho, unfortunate incident that the local hoodlums and riff raff had vandled a home. I am sure this group is an unemployable lot with very little concern for the property of others. Thay should close the local pubs early and keep these urchins off the streets.

    @6 wow. she’s fat.

    And this is why you buy a sea-worthy yacht and(or) manse in some exclusive, not easily accessible locale, preferably of the tropical variety.
    Let this be a lesson to the rest of you.

    TGFD loves it. Hahaha. More of the same, please.

    “Another neighbour said: “It is shocking, that is totally unnecessary. Nobody deserves that.”"
    “The former RBS chief was said to be “shaken” by news of the attack.”
    Ahhh! There is nothing like fear to inspire one to follow the paths of rightousness.
    More of the same, please.

    @6 – Those cankles call for trousers, or at the very least she should ask to be interviewed at a desk.
    Seriously, she’s pretty nice looking for a broad in finance but TV can be cruel and this proves it. Camera above the waist from now on only, dear.

    Trig Palin provides.

    I have a feeling The Guy From Delaware is a virgin and will be for quite sometime.

    “There have also been calls from some MPs for Goodwin to be stripped of his knighthood.”
    Unlike that bullshit “knighthood” of Alan -the thief- Stanford, Goodwin’s knighthood actually means something. Being stripped of it would be devastating to him; however, a bum like Goodwin should probably never have been knighted by the Queen in the first place.
    TGFD says, Strip him of it. Parliment should campaign to strip the rest of the knighthoods from all those other “financial innovators” who have them.
    Wastrels all.

    you obviously haven’t been around here long enough to know TGFD is no virgin; he crushes 18-65 year old in delaware all day long. (he’s told us about many of the conquests)
    more importantly, TGFD represents the sentiments of many, many people who want to see something akin to a revolution over the bullshit that wall street has pulled the past 20 years. the market better continue to rise, or those voices will get louder.
    not TGFD; and normally not a TGFD fan

    @16 – Barack, is that you? No more retarded baby jokes, Sir — let’s just stick to the Teleprompter.

  21. Posted by guest | March 25, 2009 at 12:54 PM

    @10
    Yep, please go offshore. That way the pirates can have their way with you. I am sure that they will be a lot rougher than a bunch of Limeys. If you tear down society and stick your thumb in the face of the government/taxpayer, then you don’t deserve the benefits of governmental protection. Rather, hire your own protection.

  22. Posted by guest | March 25, 2009 at 1:21 PM

    @22 – Ever been robbed in SW3? They don’t offer much in the way of protection to their taxpayers over there, either. London cops are about as useless as our own Krispy Kremers.

  23. Posted by guest | March 25, 2009 at 1:28 PM

    @23
    After I posted, I read somewhere that RBS was paying for security at his house; so, it looks like they are all worthless and on the dole over there.

  24. Posted by Novice | March 25, 2009 at 2:07 PM

    As an EC1 resident, I always thought that anyone in SW3 wearing a hoodie would be immediately escorted to the borders of Chelsea and sternly glared at until they left.

    #21: So it’s a big no-no for Barack to mention Special Olympics but okay for you to use the r-word?

  26. Posted by guest | March 25, 2009 at 3:50 PM

    Smashing car windows is tame compared to what’s coming.

  27. Posted by guest | March 25, 2009 at 4:48 PM

    I don’t understand the anger at his pension.
    Given his track record, paying him 700,000/year to NOT work seems a good investment. If they had only started a few years ago, this disaster could have been averted.
    Paying him now is probably saving the island from sinking beneath the sea or one of the royal princes turning gay.
    Money well spent!

  28. Posted by guest | March 25, 2009 at 10:20 PM

    @26 – 21 here. I was referring to what can only be a liberal @ 16 bringing up Trig Palin as only liberals these days seem to think a “mentally handicapped” kid, particularly one with the last name Palin, is a great punchline.
    No, Barack didn’t “mention” it, he made an awkward and offensive joke that you know you would have ripped Bush a new asshole over if he had said the same thing. And yes, the term “retarded” is still used at places like AACAP, although it’s maybe not the term preferred at the moment by the PC Nazis.
    Now that Barry has taught us that it’s okay NOT to be PC, can’t we all just get along? Or is it still only up to those sensitive souls on the Left to decide who or what is socially acceptable and when it’s okay to make fun of handicapped children or hip to be racist (Chris Rock)?

    @22
    You missed the point bucko, well, several of them now that I think about it. So, without going into it, yes, how much Piratry (respect LoSC) do you hear about in say, the Caribbean? How many large, armed (Blackwater is available) yachts do you read about being attacked there? If you want to nit-pick, come on, try a little harder, otherwise try to wrap your head around the larger point(s).
    @28 FTW
