As previously mentioned, the Pink Ladies are demonstrating downtown today, and while they get points for showing up everywhere, I just don't feel the same level of passion they usually bring to this stuff, and am disappointed the usual sign wasn't made available for the occasion (perhaps the B-team was dispatched for this one). On the bright side, it looks like Citi was spot on its prognostication that the "severity" level would be "minor."

When I stopped by, guy (I think it was a guy at least) was yapping something along the lines of "NYPD is unAmerican! Soon you will see what it really means when blah blah..."
There were about 10-15 cops around, so I can only hope he pushed his luck and got what he was asking for (besides a beatdown, I have no idea).
Oh, and I think he had a priest's collar on, too, fwiw.

this is local CODEPINK NYC (there is a local group in DC and about 200 other cities), subsequently there is more than one banner. and believe it or not, more than 2. geez. and that's Reverend Billy, another local group Picture the Homeless. i guess they weren't as exciting to some as a bunch of old white guys yelling about their tea bags.
