Layoffs Watch ’09: WB/WFC

Apparently there will be “massive” cuts, in the range of forty percent, beginning today and lasting through the week for legacy Wachovia employees in LevFin, M&A, DCM, IB, etc.

      Only a matter of time, everyone I know at Wachovia/WF has been expecting it since the merger. I’m surprised they waited even this long.

      Wach and WF had these departments? What for? Did they do any deals of any note, ever?

      @10- that’s not why they banned DB. The marshmallow thing was back in the summer. The ban came a day after DB wrote about the analyst who did the cat food eating contest.

      I work for legacy wachovia i-banking, and we did had DB, until wells fargo banned it post-merger..
