Picture 1047.png‘Cause it’s not gonna be Count Vikula, we’ll tell you that much!

In normal times, a company with its name on a baseball stadium would be flattered to have the chief executive take part in the opening-day festivities.
But these are not normal times. So do not expect Vikram S. Pandit, Citigroup’s chief executive, to throw out the first pitch at Citi Field when the Mets play their first regular-season game there April 13.

Okay, but will he at least be enjoying himself a Shroom Burger in the stands? NO!

In fact, the company said Pandit and many of his top lieutenants would not be in the park.

@6- the question wasn’t who, the question was who SHOULD.

Dumb question but i’ll answer anyway. Tom Seaver.
    You’re welcome and fuck you.
If Citi personnel were there they would be spit on. Not saying its right or wrong just stating the facts.

Mets pitchers are real skinny because they can’t even get their forks over their plates at home.

Every one of the souls who were shown the door a year ago should get the opportunity to see where all the cost-savings they generated end up- Citi Field-what a sham(e)

  17. Posted by guest | April 6, 2009 at 12:54 PM

@16- no, but your link gave me a better idea for who should be pitching– meredith whitney.

Just have Pandit do, but have the first “ball” be a hand grenade…it would be a visual represention of what he has done to Citi…art nouveau if you will

  20. Posted by guest | April 6, 2009 at 12:58 PM

    John Rocker? Danny Tartabull?

  21. Posted by guest | April 6, 2009 at 1:00 PM

Meredith Whitney throws a 98mph heater. She would embarass the Mets like she embarassed Citi

  22. Posted by guest | April 6, 2009 at 1:02 PM

Aaron Heilman or Scott Schowenweis should throw the first pitch.
The ball would still find a way to be knocked out of the park.

  36. Posted by guest | April 6, 2009 at 2:09 PM

    @34
A-Rod is a homo and the Mets suck. The Mets have sucked homo balls for 40 years. Don’t even bring up ’86 cause that was 23 years ago.
Are you also a Jets fan? The two teams usually share the same loser fan base.
