And lots of 'em, it seems! [via AdamsOptions]
Dennis Kneale: Macke let's start with you...Patty Daum is talking about how the credit markets tonight are really thawing tonight...and her sources tell her it's going to be helping the stock market. What do you think of that?
Jeff Macke: I have no idea Dennis...I'm going to talk to you like a child...if you understand what I'm saying, just say 'yeah.'
DK: Okay, yeah.
JM: Yeah...see...you're what happens when you're trying to talk to car people at like half an hour ago...I dismissed these people as idiots YEARS AGO. And not that I finally try and engage them, they have no idea what I'm talking about.
DK: Okay...
It continues.

CNBC commentators and guests now requiring a 5 drink minimum to be on with DK.

Wow! SauceClops!
Posted by guest , May 20, 2009 2:31PM

Alcohol doesn't explain the weird twitchiness.

I like Guy Adami. You are all idiots.
Posted by guest , May 20, 2009 2:41PM
@12- we're not talking about Guy Adami, 'tard, see yourself out of this conversation.
Posted by guest , May 20, 2009 2:43PM
@11- seems like it was a coke cocktail
Posted by guest , May 20, 2009 2:45PM
Fucking hilarious. That guy is on the CHRONIC.

Posted by guest , May 20, 2009 2:50PM
Holy crap. That was weird. I hope CNBC has a rehab specialist on their payroll.
I think someday we're gonna find out that CNBC circa 2007-2009 was a lot like SNL during the Belushi/Akroyd/Radner era.
Posted by guest , May 20, 2009 2:50PM
@20- what the fuck would that have to do with it?
Posted by guest , May 20, 2009 2:51PM
I just snorted coke out of my secretary's ass before I pounded her ass to next Tuesday.

it sounds like he definitely mixed some coke into those drinks.

@23 - That was not funny. You are not worthy of this website.
Posted by guest , May 20, 2009 3:05PM
hmmm mark haynes just ended his program "and the polar bear's hair are transparent, see you tomorrow". What does that mean?
Posted by guest , May 20, 2009 3:08PM
I think he was having a blood sugar low. My son is diabetic and sounds just like that when his blood sugars get too low (<30). Those of you reading this are probably 95 to 115 right now.
Anyway, it sounded more diabetic blood sugar low than drunk to me. Just sayin, not apologizing.

Posted by guest , May 20, 2009 3:18PM
@24 - Are you Jeff Macke?
Posted by guest , May 20, 2009 3:19PM
@31- sorry the joke you left as 'guest' wasn't funny. there are no grammar errors in that comment.
Posted by guest , May 20, 2009 3:23PM
@33
Not 31 here. Please re-read 24, it has a blatant grammatical error.
Posted by guest , May 20, 2009 3:29PM
@34- I've read it. "now conquer leaving an actually funny comment." as in, conquer the task that is leaving a comment which is actually funny, and not what you, mistakenly think is funny. please point out the error, if there is one.
Posted by guest , May 20, 2009 3:30PM
@22 - You are a racist pervert.
Posted by guest , May 20, 2009 3:33PM

Posted by guest , May 20, 2009 3:43PM
See, I never just did things just to do them. Come on, what am I gonna do? Just all of a sudden jump up and talk to CNBC like their kids, like it's something to do? Come on. I got a little more sense then that.
Yeah, I remember talking to CNBC like their kids.
Posted by guest , May 20, 2009 3:44PM
@34
Not 35 or 24 here. Comment 24 has no grammatical error.

@33
You sound like a Middlebury grad.
The sentence should read, "now conquer leaving a comment that is actually funny".
33, I can't believe you made me enter into this petty argument...I will always hate you for that.
Posted by guest , May 20, 2009 3:46PM
when he says "I haven't been on the rails in two days," that's an obvious lie.
Posted by guest , May 20, 2009 3:48PM
cocksuckeringreenwich@44- no, that would simply be another way of putting it. both are correct. you should hate yourself for not thinking to pull the dick out of your ear, which is clearly affecting your brain functions.

"if you understand what i'm saying, bark twice."
Posted by guest , May 20, 2009 3:54PM
@44 - that's just another way of writing the sentence, there is no error in the original, dumbass
Posted by guest , May 20, 2009 3:55PM
@50-- this isn't Fast Money, but please, continue your racist comments.

Posted by guest , May 20, 2009 4:16PM
#44 - For future reference, periods go inside a quotation mark, not outside it. "is actually funny."
Posted by guest , May 20, 2009 4:17PM
Would like to bang tax chick w/ dooshbag-from-bridgeport/greenwich's monkey shaped football.
How's that (grammatically, I mean)?

IRONY!

@64 Owing to the fact that you are a douchebag, your days on DB with that moniker are numbered. Start posting anonymously like the rest of us or stop being...(nevermind, scratch the 'or' part)
Posted by guest , May 20, 2009 4:40PM
LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AndrewfromGreenwich, loves to bash state schools, middlebury etc. but cant understand simple grammar. posts ~10 times in 1 thread. please stfu and go away

@69- you forgot to add "backtracks by adding that he was being ironic" to the list.
Posted by guest , May 20, 2009 4:44PM
Andrewingreenwich, #59 here. #63 is a bit literal. I thought your comeback was pretty good.
Posted by girl , May 20, 2009 4:44PM
@ Tax Chick: I think all the graduating seniors from University of Northeastern bumblefuck who didn't get jobs in finance figure that posting on DB from the sweet dial-up connections of their childhood bedrooms is the next best thing.
Hence the commentary.
Posted by guest , May 20, 2009 4:47PM
59 Not if its a Brit writing: "This comma and period inside the quotation marks business is strictly American usage. The British don't do it that way. They are inclined to place commas and periods logically rather than conventionally, depending on whether the punctuation belongs to the quotation or to the sentence that contains the quotation, just as we do with question marks and exclamation points."

@AIG- just stop posting.
Posted by guest , May 20, 2009 4:55PM
@girl: Usually the commentary is a bit less pre-adolescent teenage pocket rocker. Perhaps the lack of jobs has increased the basement traffic. I have noticed an uptick in the ass-banging-desk-hugging comments. Should have put me on notice. Sad testimony for DB.

travel for a couple of days and all of the sudden there are a bunch of degenerates on here. @girl - are you not able to hold down the fort? what gives?
Posted by guest , May 20, 2009 5:02PM
@77, totally agree, there used to be intellegent commentary, and humor that used innuendo/sarcasm/irony instead of 3rd grade stuff. Instead of reposting the same type of comment on every board, everyday. Where have all the smart people gone?
78-86 makes my point nicely
Posted by AndrewInGreenwich , May 20, 2009 5:05PM
@ 87/88
I'm with you guys.
Posted by guest , May 20, 2009 5:06PM
not making yourself look like an idiot on DB is the new killing it
Posted by guest , May 20, 2009 5:07PM
@77- then be a grown-up and don't read the comments.
Posted by guest , May 20, 2009 5:09PM
In other news unrelated to retarded commenters and commentary about retarded commenters-- Macke seems pretty lucid on Fast Money right now.
Posted by guest , May 20, 2009 5:10PM
88 I think the problem may be that things have not been that interesting. The news is too few transactions and too much failing banks and autos or ponzi schemes. On the personal side its more dull work with less resources. Theres a pall over the social scene too. A few friends are unemployed or hanging by a thin wire, so any extravagance seems evil. I know these are not real problems like world hunger(except for the umemployment), just silly ones, but it does change the game. What think the rest of you?
Posted by guest , May 20, 2009 5:10PM
Moron @89,
You are definitely part of the said juvenile crowd.
