Ken Lewis: Ka-Ching!

Picture 1331.pngBreak out the Boone’s, ladies– it’s party time in Charlotte. Remember those BAC shares Ken Lewis bought in January? The Bank of Amerillwide chief made a nice $2.5 million paper profit (or 500,000 bottles of Strawberry Hill) on the 400,000 votes of confidence, according to Bloomberg, which the newswire helpfully points out is “more than his $1.5 million salary in 2008, when Lewis got no bonus for running Bank of America.” Twelve other top managers also did okay for themselves on 640,000 shares bought for as little as $3.78, having made over $4 million among them.
Not faring as well was former Countrywide chief-cum-Bank of America make-up artist Angelo Mozilo, who lost money intended to go toward legal fees playing the slots.

    So, he does not need to sell that spot on Spring Island, anymore?
    $4MM, granted 2.5 is on paper, is not a bad year. Somewhere there is a former Bear guy who was in FI that would have mocked that statement in 2006 and is now washing and waxing my car.

    I always saw Moz as more of a craps player.
    Snake eyes!

    Anybody pounding their secretary in the ass right now?

  9. Posted by guest | May 19, 2009 at 2:57 PM

    8 Does anyone even have a secretary, or an “admin”, as they prefer to be called? That’s like dinosour age stuff.

    @5
    Can’t lose by mocking BS bankers who thought they were the stuff.
    Ken Lewis will be vindicated as more than just the Banker of the Year, He will eventually become the Banker of the Universe for leading BAC through it’s aquisition of Citigroup in 2012, and eventually outwitting Government Sachs and buying out HP’s old firm, Then it will become….
    Bank of Citigoldamerrylwide or for short…
    BOONECLOPS!!!
    And the term BoA’ed will become synonymous with a mix of Rocky-esque comebacks and an evil universal Empire. Timmy G will be his “admin” and Then K to the L will run for President and take over the world.
    (Here ends the dreams of Ken Lewis, man in possession of paper profits and a half empty bottle of Boone’s)

    I have a former Countrywide CEO Angelo Mozilo tribute page on my site http://www.akbhomesucks.com/Countrywide this scheme is part of a much larger issue when one corporation is another corporations whore/bitch and the politicians who get elected with the profits. This is why the current energy in the USA is the same as during the 1860′s. Love them carpetbaggers. The only ASS pounding is you and me my friends. When the homes in America are Lemons then we are soon to be a Ghetto economy with the profit takers hiding behind estate walls? Let’s see how these Lawyers manipulate the definitions of the LAW to snake out of it. Already the case has moved to Florida – home of the “trust” which is above the law and cannot be seized, just ask OJ.
