So much for staking out new investors! Guest of a Guest reports that Fairfield Greenwich founder Walter Noel and Co. have had their membership at the Round Hill Club revoked, over “bad press.” Anyone from a lesser facility willing to take them in?

It’s just the “Round Hill Club” (no “country”). The snootiest (well, maybe Stanwich is snooty too); no Jews.
ALso not sure if it is a “you’re out” or “we are suspending your membership for now”.

The societal punishment being administered to hedge fund and financial types is getting worse every day.
Example: Recently, as my regular Dominatrix was adjusting the black leather, zippered head mask on me and sanitizing the red gag ball she was going to put in my mouth for our session, she stopped and asked, “Ain’t you involved in all this financial shit?”.
I lied and say, “No, no, no….I’m in the oil and gas business.”

On a related note.. Finally got to read the Vanity Fair article written (with assistance) by Madoff’s long time secretary. The least interesting part was that which was reported here already – that Bern sometimes liked to give her a pat on the a$$. Better are the parts on the operation of the personal wealth management group. The nitty gritty on generating statements, moving client money, who did what when. If its true, it certainly is very damming for two people in particular. The anecdotal stuff about Ruth and the personality change she went through jsut before the thing blew up is bad too.

@1: I think Louis Gerstner, former chairman of IBM, and a bona fide member of the circumcision tribe, is an RH member — probably the only one….

    It’s easy to grin
    when your ship comes in
and you’ve got the stock market beat.
    But the man worthwhile
is the man who can smile
when his shorts are too tight in the seat

I’m getting to old for this hedge fund game. I tell ya I’m not a kid anymore. The other day I went and asked for some TARP money. Geithner said, “Why don’t you just park your boat in the garage?”

I have little sympathy for the Noel clan, and even less for the dipshits who invested most of their net worth in a feeder fund run by a bunch of art history majors.
