    Thanks BL

    Better than mid-April.

    I’ve cracked their system. Take the monthly S&P return and multiply it by a random number between -2 and +2. It’s quite elegant, really.

  4. Posted by guest | June 2, 2009 at 3:26 PM

    @4- is that sarcasm?

  5. Posted by guest | June 2, 2009 at 3:28 PM

    I’m guessing Medallion did +44% YTD, while the bagholders (institutional investors) did -16%.
    God I love the hedge fund business!!

    Unless you are in Medallion, you are getting bent over.

    What a bunch of dumb bastards
    props for getting this B to the L

  8. Posted by guest | June 2, 2009 at 3:30 PM

    -16 is the new killing it

    Do you think Data Domain is up because the symbol reminds everyone of DCUP?

  10. Posted by guest | June 2, 2009 at 3:37 PM

    Nobody puts S&P in the corner, nobody!

    Looks like Simons is running a Madonzi scheme. He’s taking institutional money and putting it in Medallion. Any institutional investor who doesn’t realize that by now, probably showers with an aluminum hat w/ built in antennae.

  12. Posted by guest | June 2, 2009 at 4:03 PM

    @12
    How does it work when both Rief and Medallion make money in the same month?
    What about the $ of Simons and other employees that are in the Rief Strategy? Would be pretty foolish to charge yourself hefty performance fees on money you are taking from yourself.
    A clown indeed.

    Dear Investor,
    Part of the Rief loss went into the
    our internal fund’s gain. So not everything is negative. Please be rest
    assured that our internal fund’s return will continue to have negative correlation to RIEF’s return. And the future RenTech is bright and brighter. Thanks for all the extra alpha.
    Sincerely,
    Jim

  27. Posted by guest | June 3, 2009 at 10:52 AM

    @27 things must be boring on long island if you can sit there and read blogs all day. I was asking if she has the returns for riff which is another fund that your firm runs.

  28. Posted by guest | June 3, 2009 at 12:02 PM

    @28 You don’t have money in either RIEF or RIFF, so why are you wasting your time posting here?

  29. Posted by guest | June 3, 2009 at 12:08 PM

    @28- go fuck yourself.
