UBS apparently sent out a memo last Friday eliminating the majority of its trash cans. Previously, they had mini-wastebaskets at each desk and now only one can per floor. And speaking of cans– an unhappy employee notes the Swiss have “downgraded to single ply TP.”

On a racing yacht, “Rail Meat” is the term given to idle crew members who sit on the windward side of the boat (with their legs hanging over the side) on a steady, upwind, close-hauled tack. Their added weight (ballast) keeps the boat from heeling over too much in heavier air (wind).
Helmsman, tactician, navigator, and sail trimmers are all active at that time, but “rail meat” sit still on the rail.

UBS is a great company and I am really sorry I don’t work there anymore.
My guess is that they need the extra waste baskets to hold all the shit they still have remaining on their books that the Swiss Central Bank hasn’t taken yet.
