In Barney's defense, he's probably feeling a little upset about not being a part of today's Lewis Lashing. Let this be a message to you all: do not even entertain the thought of messing with Mark because he will fuck you up.
Ha! And you guys probably the Eminem stunt was real too. C'mon! Didn't you know that exchange was a re-enactment of the merger ones Paulson had with Kenneth?
Haines is just the same shit in a different toilet. He jumped Charlie Rangel a while back in an interview ostensibly about the AIG bonus tax, asking Charlie if shouldn't recuse himself from legislating on the issue because the house ethics committee was investigating his mortgages. Unprofessional. Plus he's wrong. The diffusion/dispersion of ownership from "mom and pop" to mutual funds doesn't mean the the owners of the company be they individuals, mutual funds, hedge funds, whatever should just be happy with the economic beneifts, which is what he did say. He didn't like Barney getting up in his grill. Of course Barney acted the prima donna and stormed off to his trailer. Somebody call the director please.

Haines is a bitter old curmudgeon.

I don't think it's wise to speak to someone from the government like that. I mean they are in charge aren't they?
Posted by guest , Jun 11, 2009 9:57AM
You know what they say.
"You can tell a Harvard man, but you can't tell him much."

2 And now I have a bitter old curmudgeon to look up to.

Posted by guest , Jun 11, 2009 10:16AM
Ken's looking good. Sober. Pert.

My favorite part was when Frank put his hands on his hips and started to pout.
Posted by Becky Boot Fan , Jun 11, 2009 10:28AM
Good on ya, Mark. Barney Frank should be keelhauled and donkey punched.
Posted by guest , Jun 11, 2009 10:30AM
Oh, Barney has been donkey punched a plenty.
Posted by chernevik , Jun 11, 2009 10:33AM
Barney Frank sounds awfully smart when he gets to write the questions. When he can't -- not so much.
Posted by guest , Jun 11, 2009 10:35AM
Barney was just looking for an excuse to leave early and get his salad tossed by some student loan burdened policy intern.
I wonder if that was detailed in the job description.
Posted by guest , Jun 11, 2009 10:58AM
Mass mailing is a franking privilege.
Not to be confused with ass nailing.
Brutally frank, refreshingly direct,
on the Mark, in all _due_ respect.
