And now they have to die (pick who you'd like to lay down for the dirt nap now). Why am I getting so upset about this? Do you know how much time and effort it took me to take out a trademark on the name Dr. Doom? Production is nearly completed on a line of dolls (sorry, "action figures"), lunch boxes, and porta-potties bearing my name and mug, with plans for musk, if there's sufficient interest. It's Dr. Doom not Dr. Roses and Rim Jobs For Everybody. Infidels.
It has been widely reported today that I have stated that the recession will be over "this year" and that I have "improved" my economic outlook. Despite those reports - however - my views expressed today are no different than the views I have expressed previously. If anything my views were taken out of context.I have said on numerous occasions that the recession would last roughly 24 months. Therefore, we are 19months into that recession. If as I predicted the recession is over by year end, it will have lasted 24 months with a recovery only beginning in 2010. Simply put I am not forecasting economic growth before year's end.

apparently "Dr. Attention Whore" was already taken by Meredith Whitney.

Dennis Kneale molested my Collie and a Gerbil that was an innocent bystander.
Fucking sicko.

Well, I'd say kill the pregnant chick first so the spawn of CNBC doesn't have the chance to replicate itself, but I've seen the Alien movies, and it's really kind of futile, isn't it???

God I love this fucking jabroni. Ah, shit, that makes twice in one day.
Posted by guest , Jul 16, 2009 5:35PM
It will be 24 months, not 19!! I repeat, 24 no 19! It won't be over until I said so. Look! my statement that the worst is over was taken out of context. I'm just saying that the worst is behind us. and I didn't say that the recession will be over "this year", I was saying that the recession will be over by the end of this year. YOU GUYS BETTER GET YOUR FACT STRAIGHT!!!

@6 did you mistakenly think this post was about gasparino? jabroni is a slur about italians, which roubini categorically is not.

@11 at least 5 since their special dinner.
Posted by guest , Jul 16, 2009 5:48PM
The day he appears on CNBC with no sleeves is when he really acknowledges DB. Mere name-dropping is cheap, I want him to go for gasps.

"maybe CNBC misheard me since I had them on speakerphone because I was busy drawing a phillip's curve on the breast of this girl I met on j-date under the 'interested in crazy swinger parties' category... I had to throw out my Hank Paulson bed sheets after that"

A positive Q3 will be the KO blow to him and his tired following. He will then be on TV calling it a fraudulent result only then to be clothes-lined by Meredith Whitney. That will come to epitomize the end of the recession.

22- Wah, wah, wah... Grab a bottle baby, the tough times are going to get tougher.
Let's count the sins...
Job losses accelerating, consumers possess no meaningful savings, accelerating foreclosures have significantly negative social implications which have yet to be felt, no capital markets activity for VC/PE exits, no credit for PE, no LPs for PE/VC...
The stimulus had little, if any, effect on the economy, plus rising taxes and increased regulation.
Posted by guest , Jul 16, 2009 11:01PM
Deranged? More like enlightened. Adderall, mescaline, psilocybin mushrooms... I'll still love you, Bess. Could Charlie do his job sans mortadella? I think not.
P.S., B-to-the-lanus is in desperate need of a key bump.

@26: end of recession does not mark the beginning of coke-party season, simply defines a bottom (you know, kind of like your intellect).
Posted by guest , Jul 17, 2009 7:38AM
Dr. Doom now Dr. Boom Boom.
Posted by guest , Jul 17, 2009 8:01AM
"jewbroni" --- now that is just fantastic
Posted by guest , Jul 17, 2009 8:37AM
28- Yes, there is a difference between a bottom and a continued slide down. Lack of a functioning credit market, increased regulation, growing tax burden... Slide will continue.
Dead man spirals.

I thought Marc Faber was "Dr. Doom". Did he die or something?

@32 you thought wrong-- http://www.google.com/search?q=nouriel+roubini+doctor+doom&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a

@31 - A deadman stall will always end. Gravity wins in the end, and the aircraft gets dispersed over several miles of terra firma.
