Mark and Andy Madoff were awesome kids... (as their Mom was awesome too)... and from what I've heard around town they both were also awesome, compassionate, charitable and giving men!!!!
I grew up with them in Roslyn, LI, NY... We all played together as kids, our moms car pooled...
If they are guilty then they will go to jail... and No one wins either way... If they are not guilty... Their lives are ruined and they have to forge new lives for themselves from scratch... We should all leave them alone and assume ONLY the best... until a court and/or jury decides otherwise...
In this "great country" people are innocent until PROVEN (beyond a shaddow of a doubt) guilty... If indicted and convicted then pass judgement, if not... BE KInd, Be compassionate, Be Nice! If indicted and convicted, still be nice... Humane, no matter what... How would you want your sibling, parent or cousin to be treated in the same situation?
We could all read up on what it says in ANY holy book in ANY religion in the world, and be kind and compassionate to to these boys and their MOM...
I know lots of folks were "Ripped Off" in this scam, (some are friends) but if innocent, on any level so were Mark and Andrew...
Victims, ALL "VICTIMS", were happy with 12% interest when the rest of the world was earning negative 3%... No one cared back then if Bernie was a drug dealer, as long as they got their insane returns... EVERY "VICTIM" was happy all along for years, to look the other way... Bernard Madoff is a criminal, YES, but he is also the "Fall Guy" for societal greed, that we all have to examine within every victim, and ourselves... Bernard Madoff's sentence is a joke... and him rotting in prison will never help to make the victims financially whole...
