Jul. 03, 8:30 AM'Rogue trader' suspected of running up £6m crude oil loss at London office of PVM Oil Associates
A "rogue trader" is suspected of causing $10m (£6m) of losses at the London office of PVM Oil Associates, the world’s biggest broker of over-the-counter oil derivatives.
By Rowena Mason
Published: 9:29PM BST 02 Jul 2009
A senior, long-standing broker, believed to be Steve Perkins, left this week, amid fears that “unauthorised trading” could have caused an eight-month high in Brent crude oil future prices.
The company, which employs 80 staff at its West End offices, is now investigating past trading.
A number of senior brokers – the company's only shareholders – are expected to be the main losers from the "rogue trades" Mr Perkins is suspected to have run up in Asian trading during the early hours of Tuesday morning.

BTW, TOGFD. I'm glad to see you back on the boards again. TGFD's been kicking their sorry asses here on DB during your absence. Did your trailer blow up too?
The Guy from Delaware
p.s. #128 & #129 are imposter wannabees. Circle jerk @130 is one of the sorry asses I was talking about.

Hey,TGFD, good to talk to you again as well. Yes, if it must be known, I've lost my trailer. Free advice: Don't smoke around a home brew meth lab = WHUMP!

Trojan & the "I'd-hit-it" guy...
If you two lads are into golf, may TGFD suggest a threesome with this 50-something lass from the UK who would certainly spice-up that game of yours.

It's just so wrong that DB management is taking the whole 3 day weekend off. We need leadership to properly discuss news articles like this:
Madoff Hires Consultant to Find Best Possible Jail
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,530007,00.html
Me, I'd like to talk about "with what money?" If somebody else is paying for him, then the only explanation is that the somebody has inside knowledge of Bernie's crimes and has reason to want to buy him off by doing the very few favors that are possible in his new stage of life. Feds should be tracking every penny that goes into this consultant's account, and rooting out where it ultimately came from.
I'd also like to talk about "how does he get a choice?" Who does the consultant pay off to get the decision-maker to even give him the time of day, much less act on his recommendation?
Posted by guest , Jul 04, 2009 2:29PM
Guest@#143...
TGFD agrees with you, and thanks for the heads-up on this one.
Yeah. Where did Bernie get the money? Was there money, or did the consultant owe Bernie a favor? Maybe Ruth paid from her $2.5 mil.
The Guy from Delaware

I could use some money...why does Bernie get it all?

PS: Hey,Dr. Phil-I'm waiting, dude.

TOGFD

Bess, TOGFD has Typhoid and H1N1 and he is totally unsanitary. Please remove him so that he doesn't spread the cooties.
I think he caught that shit after an a2m session with TGFD.
Posted by guest , Jul 04, 2009 7:42PM
Look at this shit.
Trojan talks about high-school girls, and nothing happens. TGFD talks about "chicks of all ages", and DB lightweight clowns like the assface @#147 want TGFD banned.
Not that TGFD is complaining, because I'm not. So I'll just say, Fuck Y'all Bitches.

Guest@#153...
Thanks for the link, but TGFD finds that scrolling thru the entire Above the Law site to find your qouted passage is not a worthwile use of my time.
Perhaps next time you could furnish a direct link to the proper article, so we can learn about those "falsehoods".

@156 So he stole info about their front-running platform? Wouldn't it be hilarious if GS was forced to disclose proprietary info during the case? But, I highly doubt it. They'll settle this privately and poor Serge will never be heard from again.
Also, the speed with the authorities got him is amazing, on July 4th no less!

GoldmanSachs = Criminal, low-life, shitstained, American thieves.
They are made for each other.
Now, let us all hope fervently that Serge has done something to the Goldman machine that will make the wheels fall off that motherf'ker.

p.s. Trojan...Thanks for the explanation.

That's funny. Two Sigma tried to get around disclosing their book, figuring geeks could reverse engineer their market making stuff...Courts told them to fuck off. GS gets hacked and Feds raid.
Of course, in the end, all of GS competition barring MS is now owned by the Feds themselves, so this could be a Hunt For the Red October type of deal.
