53, I once saw ooi in liew’s office with hurst. hurst and ooi were engaged in a 69 on liew’s desk while liew was giving it to ooi in his backside. this was the day before his VP announcement was made.
ooi deserves the respect for being short commodities for about 24 months before making a killing in late 2008. he was just setting the stage for a trade of the century. so what if he lost about $200 million net. he eventually got the view right in the end.

The analysts are unwanted fat of the AQR past. The company is going in a different and better direction. The founding partners have been extraordinarily generous to keep you guys around and to pay out good bonus last year when they had no reason to.
If you think you can go somewhere better, please do so soon. We would be better off without you.
