The top financial regulator in Massachusetts, William Galvin, wants to have a closer look at exactly what was going on inside the Goldman huddle and has subpoenaed GS to open up the playbook. Galvin alleges that clients who were left behind the velvet rope af the Goldman were disadvantaged by those who had access to the platinum level membership benefits. If those clients were disadvantaged and angry before, they should be cheering now. With the details of the huddle system coming to light, clients now know exactly what they'll get for showing a little more love for Lloyd & Co.

Not only is Notre Dame gay, but that picture is from the 2007 season. Clean it up

I am sick of hearing how these sharks are swindling us everyday. They should have to disclose every trade they make and publish their opinion on which way the market is going to go each day so they can't front run the public on their ideas.

@3 you make it too easy

I would have imagined a GS huddle would look more like this:

Last night I had a dream that Richard Fuld was washed out to sea, and had to use his penis as a flotation device. He fashioned it the same way a boy scout would fashion his jeans into a raft: by whipping it around his head, trying to capture air.
The subconscious is an interesting force one has little to no control over.

I thought the GS' picks were winners.
So, why the did you choose to caption the article with a pic of a bunch of losers?

I was attending to a gay male, age 50, currently not HIV positive. Some elevated cholesterol issues and need for Viagra which I promptly dispensed. As usual, before I left, I asked the most important question a physician should ask during a patient's visit: "Is there anything else we need to talk about?"
"Yes", he said somewhat reluctantly, "I've been having sharp pains in my rectum today."
Head down and eyes up I said, "Really!..Drop you pants and let me have a quick look." He complied immediately.
I gazed into his rectum and don't think he was too surprised when I nearly shouted, "Good God man!! There is a long-stemmed red rose and vase up your rectum!!"
He whimpered, "Please don't get mad until you've at least read the card!!"

@5 diversity is important part of the Goldman way, not!
Posted by guest , Aug 27, 2009 12:26PM
@15:
Goldman is extremely diverse. They have Ashkenazim, Sephardics, Orthodox, Reform and even a few espiscopalians.

Mark Klein - WOW. That is about the single most ignorant, least informed comment I have ever seen on DB. And THAT's saying something.
After your populist rage subsides, please tell me something. Have you ever, even ONCE in your life:
1. Worked at an investment bank?
2. Been inside an investment bank?
3. Been on a trading floor?
4. Seen a picture of a trading floor?
5. Heard of a "Chinese Wall" (stay with me - not talking Asian Architecture here)
6. Heard of certain "regulation-type-thingies" preventing certain types of information at an investment bank from being shared among Investment Banking, Research, and Trading (which are all different departments).
If you answer "yes" to any of the above (with the possible exception of #4), you're lying.

Every firm has a morning huddle. JPM was having them 10 years ago. Believe it or not, it's not a dichotomy to think a stock your bullish on long-term or neutral may have a bad day today for technical reasons.

20,
So you're telling my dream regarding Richard Fuld was bullshit?
After your close-minded rage subsides, please tell me something. Have you ever, even ONCE in your life:
1. Slept in my flannel sheets?
2. Rolled balls of rubber cement in your hands, while smelling the lid?
3. Walked a dog backwards?
4. Read "Rich Dad, Poor Dad"?
5. Heard of Jung?
6. Read that Richard Fuld is hung like one of Robocop's handguns?
If you answer "yes" to any of the above (with the possible exception of #4), you're lying.

MK @ 22 - No, no. So sorry. The dream about Fuld and the beautiful Ass-Rose story were things I believed completely. They showed, in fact, a degree of enlightenment I hadn't anticipated given the post @3 I was responding to. Sorry for the confusion.
To answer your questions:
1. I think so - one night in a YMCA. They had Power Rangers on them, right?
2. Yes, I have rolled my balls in rubber cement while smelling the lid. I couldn't change my underwear for a week, but I was too whacked out to care.
3. My friend Dennis and I enjoy dogs moving backwards, especially if we're behind theem at the time. Why?
4. Only the comic book version, which I hear was slightly different.
5. Jung . . . Jung . . . oh yeah! Occasionally sits in as hostess of Fast Money on CNBC, right?
6. Read it? Hell, I've seen it! Amazing, that!
Again, sorry to question your wisdom @6 & @22. However, please correct whatever over- or under- dose of meds caused that verbal diarrhea @3.
Thanks,
-20
