Fox Business Network announced Thursday it will simulcast radio host Don Imus’ morning show starting Oct. 5 as the cable channel seeks to jump-start viewership.
The two-year-old network – which like this newswire is owned by News Corp. (NWSA) – has faced tough competition from the more widely available CNBC, owned NBC Universal.
Fox Business will air the program from 6-9 a.m. EDT and Imus’ program will incorporate additional business news. A trio of Fox anchors will continue to host a show starting at 5 a.m. ET before appearing on Imus’ program to report on financial news.
Alexis Glick, host of “Money for Breakfast” from 7-9 a.m., will continue to host “Opening Bell” at 9 a.m.
