rebeccajarvis.jpgNo and unclear! A bunch of you have been wondering where Jarvis has been lately, fearing a Margaret Brennan-like abandonment. For now, be easy– she’s on vacation this week. However, and I only say this so you can emotionally steel yourself, there are rumors that she’s planning to leave the network once her contract is up (no word on where she’s headed, though speculation is encouraged). This is of course very disappointing, as we like our CNBC with at least one Apprentice runner-up at all times. The only upside we could possibly come up with? A hole in on-air talent that would necessitate bringing back Macke.

@5 its her shit eating grin; she needs to wipe it off

  7. Posted by guest | September 30, 2009 at 3:01 PM

Annoying voice, goofy smile/smirk, understands little to nothing about financial markets, she’s the perfect fit for CNBC.

  8. Posted by guest | September 30, 2009 at 3:08 PM

tough nosejob on this broad. no bid.

  9. Posted by guest | September 30, 2009 at 3:10 PM

    it moved.

  10. Posted by guest | September 30, 2009 at 3:13 PM

@5 what are you talking about? she’s v cute and one of the least obnoxious/bitchy broads on cnbc (i’m looking at you burnett).

  11. Posted by guest | September 30, 2009 at 3:17 PM

and then i went to Africa, and i spoke to African leaders, in Africa. Have i mentioned that i went to Africa???

M Brennan still around but for some reason DB gives FBN and Zucker Suckers 99% of the TV coverage. Note to Burnett: A pursed lip smirk is for the Joker, not an anchor.

  14. Posted by guest | September 30, 2009 at 3:29 PM

@14 umm what? do you think there’s a reason DB, when it covers cable finance, mostly does cnbc? right, because no one watches fbn, and there are few mock-worthy moments on bloomberg. also, the chick in the picture is rebecca jarvis, not erin burnett, you complete moron.

  15. Posted by guest | September 30, 2009 at 3:29 PM

@6 I always thought of it a “too eager to please” type grin.

  16. Posted by guest | September 30, 2009 at 3:32 PM

The female on-air talent at Bloomberg TV is exponentially hotter than what’s on CNBC. Just sayin’

  17. Posted by Tax Chick | September 30, 2009 at 3:33 PM

@16 It’s more like the “I will humor you for now, but ordinarily I wouldn’t give you the time of day” type of grin.

  18. Posted by guest | September 30, 2009 at 3:35 PM

    A hole … on-air talent … CNBC …. you talking bout me????

  21. Posted by NakedShort | September 30, 2009 at 3:38 PM

@16 eh I think its definitely a shit eating grin.
Much like the one she would give you after accepting a dinner date at an expensive restaurant. Once there she will laugh at your jokes, incessantly flirt with her come hiter eye gaze, order an expensive entrée with a Crème brûlée dessert. After dinner you’ll end up back at your place and partake in a heavy make out session probably with some heavy over the clothing petting. She’ll then claim shes really tired and needs to get to rest or shes worried about her roomate who just broke up with her boyfriend or some other bullshit.

  22. Posted by guest | September 30, 2009 at 3:38 PM

Good thing I snatched her beaver sleeve last month; the streak is still alive, baby.

  25. Posted by ping | September 30, 2009 at 3:43 PM

  26. Posted by guest | September 30, 2009 at 3:46 PM

  28. Posted by guest | September 30, 2009 at 3:55 PM

This is a ridiculous feed… No one cares how Rebecca looks/smiles, although, in my opinion, she is beautiful. But, so much more importantly, she is the smartest/quickest talent – male or female – that CNBC’s got! It would be terrible if they lose her to another network. She is the budding, young talent they need to carry them into the next decade. Looking around, or more aptly on the TV screen, I don’t see anyone else who can do it. Additionaly, she has been spot on in her predictions through the entire downturn.
Any ideas about where she’s going?

  29. Posted by Pizzzannniii | September 30, 2009 at 3:57 PM

    @27 shaved, landing strip style.
she’s leaving to spend the winter on my new yacht, eclipse, where we will make lovey-time, eat caviar and blast somali pirates like playing duck hunt on nintendo 8-bit.
    roman a-she’s-a-my-bitch

  30. Posted by guest | September 30, 2009 at 3:58 PM

That’s the “Ten Teens Who Will Change The World” smirk, sneer. Please note that while RJ was sucking up to her enablers, Erin was in eyeblack and a kilt, slashing away at her opponents’ shins. ‘Nuff said.

  33. Posted by guest | September 30, 2009 at 4:15 PM

15 – have a hard on to protect the flat chested monkey that is EB? Of course that’s Jarvis. But feel good about your rant anyway little man, you’re a winner!

  34. Posted by guest | September 30, 2009 at 4:16 PM

it’s unlikely that most of the obnoxious people commenting above have ever been on a date so i chuckle when reading the drivel they are willing to write anonymously.
rebecca is clearly an intelligent woman with a firm grasp on the financial issues of the day. wherever she goes, she will do well.
and she’s certainly got more class than most of the tough guys above who use comment sections to express their sexual frustration.

  35. Posted by guest | September 30, 2009 at 4:18 PM

@17 — hands down, Bloomberg wins that contest. On air talent is much better looking, much smarter and much more professional. Also, quite boring. They never leave me wanting to throw a brick through the TV, which is no way to garner solid ratings, sadly.

  36. Posted by guest | September 30, 2009 at 4:20 PM

    yes!! bring back MACKE!

  37. Posted by e_anthony58 | September 30, 2009 at 4:40 PM

I see Rebecca still moving to MSNBC or jumping ship to another news channel. She’s got news reporting talent so give her a shot at going to Washington to report or give her an hour on MSNBC. She def. a looker so she will be watched. Maybe give her a weekend shot at Today perhaps??
It’ll be a while till EB will be on nationwide on NBC.
As for Dennis Kneale, like I told him on Twitter, theres always FoxBiz. =)

  38. Posted by guest | September 30, 2009 at 4:41 PM

@36 – Totally agree. Bloomberg TV is the only one worth anything to a real investor. CNBC is considered useful by the same guys that ask you for stock tips at cocktail parties. Dierdre Bolton can Bolt-herself-on my D any day. Afterwards we’ll discuss what’s going on in Dollar-Yen.

  39. Posted by guest | September 30, 2009 at 4:44 PM

good things about CNBC: David Faber, Erin Burnett.
    That’s about it.

  40. Posted by guest | September 30, 2009 at 4:44 PM

All you RJ haters just keep on hating. Keeping yourself out of the running slightly increases the odds she’s my future wife.

  41. Posted by Merrill23 | September 30, 2009 at 4:46 PM

You’re not doing anyone justice with that pic, she’s WAY hotter than that.

  44. Posted by Fan | September 30, 2009 at 5:19 PM

Rebecca Jarvis is one of the main reasons I tune in to CNBC. She is not only beautiful and cheerful, but her analysis of the day’s issues is also dead on. Rebecca’s approach really resonates with me. Whether she stays at CNBC or not, I’m pretty sure she’s a rising star. I feel like she’ll grab audiences no matter the network. And she’s hot. I get it. Clearly, we can’t move beyond that on this thread. Who’s posting here – 15-year-old boys? haha Have fun!

  45. Posted by guest | September 30, 2009 at 5:59 PM

@16/22 – nicely played. nobody even noticed your trickery.

  46. Posted by guest | September 30, 2009 at 6:08 PM

@45 who is clearly RJ, sorry honey noone will ever respect you for your opinion, and not just because that opinion is always wrong. Now run along to MSNBC, the CNBC talent graveyard, and never be heard from again.

  47. Posted by maxine | September 30, 2009 at 6:46 PM

Erin’s place is not on financial TV.She isn’t great answering an on-the-spot tough financial question or even ask question good questions. She always comes out short of an answer and sometimes doesn’t make sense.
Her real place is “Nightly News” or co-host of “Today Show”, the “View”
    those type of shows..

  48. Posted by guest | September 30, 2009 at 7:35 PM

This young lady makes Maria B. look like a parochial school dropout with a better attitude.
EB will replace Katie C. with a match in salary.
Becky Q. is still in my dreams.
MCC is in my fantasy dreams.

  49. Posted by guest | September 30, 2009 at 7:50 PM

Jarvis=okay, Burnet=smirk, MariaB=moooo, MelissaF=wierdly crazy-scarylookin’. I’m off to Fox Business. Heard this a.m. on radio Imus already jerking it to the altar of Claman, just like my whole trading floor. Give me her and Sandra Smith, I’m good.

Truly unhappy about Rebecca possibly not coming back to CNBC. It’s been 3 weeks since her last appearance and I am starting to believe that she won’t be back. She has so much upside potential as she has good command of what she reports. maybe there is too much competition amongst the other women on the show or maybe the possible merger/buyout with the Comcast people that is making the contract negotiations tough for her.
