haha @55 nope. I see a lot of my friends go into finance and they have to deal with these people. The nastiness probably arises from the intense competition and stress in the industry. People are overworked, it’s understandable. They just don’t have the time to think that by putting others down they are propagating hate and degrading themselves. It’s actually net negative in the end cause even though you pushed someone lower than you (in your value system), you’re also bringing yourself down in terms of human intrinsic worth (this is very subjective I know haha).

May I suggest that you seriously consider ‘staying-in’ for a full 20 active. An O-4 or O-5 pension might seem like peanuts to some of the adolescent tools around here, but you and I both know that it isn’t.
How many years do you have in now? Nine, maybe? The rest of the 20 will go fast, and afterwards you’ll be damn glad you stayed in. TriCare and 50% of base at 42 or 43 make a damn fine foundation with which to begin a 2nd career.

in fairness, Sloan MBAs have worked/will work for the cash they needed to buy the degree.
Everyone knows that an MBA from Sloan is not a “real” advanced degree from MIT; this also applies to Harvard MBAs and Stanford MBAs as well.
