Swine Flu At Citi

It’s not an outbreak. Yet. (Kidding, you know the banks had their people vaccinated before the plebes.) On another note, it’s sort of unclear how this happened, as Citi took pains earlier this year to teach its employees how to wash their hands in an effort to avoid “accidentally” wiping everyone out and closing up shop.

One of the TMT banker on the 37th floor of the Greenwich Street building has been identified as having H1N1 and was asked to leave just now.

What kind of redundancy package did they give him? If he’s terminated for swine flu, did they have to give him fair warning in advance?

@4 pretty sure “asked to leave” meant go home til you’re not infected. they can’t fire people for this.

Those offices are now Morgan Stanley Smith Barney. Yes, I know they are still officing Citibankers but MSSB will own Citi shortly anyway. They have capital and the sChitIi’s stock and market cap is such that it is pocket change for the Mackster/Gormansky.
