I had high (nay, insanely unrealistic and unattainable) expectations for BL (think KLW sucking on a pen and staring blankly at the ceiling during one of her Marisa Miller rants – "intelligent, approachable, and so gracious!"), but this released picture changes everything. Bess is now a good 20x more attractive with this photo out in the tubes.
That tussled hair, smug smirk (with a nearly ironic hint of humility and fragility), and all-knowing look in her eyes combine to remind me that this is someone not only operating at a high multiple of my own intelligence, but is also infinitely more interesting than anything possibly found at the frequented weekend "spots".
If only I had been born an intrepid zamboni aficionado with a penchant for defcon-4 buttoning habits**…
