She’s gonna put some seriously importante dudes’ b’s in a vice and then just, you know, trah la la, act like nothing happened and expect the checks to keep coming? Girlfriend should consider thinking again!

“I think at least in the short term there is going to be a great deal of frustration with people who were beating the hell out of us — then turning around and asking for money,” said a senior executive of a Wall Street bank. One member coming in for special criticism: Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.), viewed as largely unwilling to publicly defend her home state’s top industry but who continues to make fundraising requests, according to Wall Street insiders. “Sometimes their chutzpah just has no bounds,” an executive said, referring to Gillibrand, who is on the ballot this fall. “People like her who didn’t stand up for us at all during the debate are certainly going to feel some pushback.” [Politico via Daily Intel]

In fact! We’ve obtained exclusive behind the scenes footage of exactly what sort of “pushback” the Senator from New York is in for and let me just say, it looks terrifying.

    What’s the problem here? She should have asked for the money first?

    Kirsten will not be getting my vote. The majority of Wall Streeters, if not all, are not responsible for the mess we go into. In fact the politicians are to blame – bad regulatory oversight, FNM & FRE, public policy that everyone should own a home, etc. Now these cash whores are looking for money.

    Rail against the capitalists, now that has been an effecive tactic, see how it worked for Obama and his great jobs programs. Not.

    @10, you tool, why not just let it go?

    Regarding the subject at hand, Gillebrand will be swept out in a wave of house-cleaning when her term’s up. Having examined my motives, I’d also note that Obama’s appointees are 45% moniroty/woman. This racist president is out in ’12.

    thats a nice video of a wall st exec! a little classier than most!

  35. Posted by Anonymous | July 6, 2010 at 3:38 PM

    @30

    Roughly 1/3 (33.3%) of American citizens are minority. And approximately 1/2 (50%) of American citizens are female.

    If you take away 50% of 33.3% to avoid double counting the females, that leaves you with 16.65% of minority males and 50% of females who make up a total of 66.65% of the US population.

    If 45% of Obama’s appointees come from that 66.65% majority, then he could be considered biased toward them.

    Does this mean that you should “kindly leave? kthxbye!”?

    I think that 45% stat is incorrect. His appointees have been 45% minority (and many of the woman have been thespians.) It is an overwhelming racial bias this dastardly bastard is shoving down our throats.

    @35 (aig quant) – not so fast…this: “I’d also note that Obama’s appointees are 45% moniroty/woman” suggests double counting. unless you can prove otherwise, you can kindly leave after repaying your TARP money…kthxbye!

    @42/30/Investorcluzo and @47/10

    I really don’t care and I’m not even the one who called Obama racist, I’m just sharing knowledge and numbers. If he was double counting like you suggested, then 73% of his appointees would be minority/female. But this is not the case.

    If @12 meant female minorities, you were wrong. His female minority appointees account for 20% of all his appointees yet only 16% of the population.

    If @12 meant minorities in general, you were wrong again. His minority appointees account for 41% of all his appointees yet only 33% of the population.

    @48 On the data you present, women are underrepresented relative to the general population. Black and Asian nominees are well-represented. Hispanic nominees are over-represented regardless of race. “Other” ethnicities are off the chart.
    It’s well known that liberals self-report hispanic, more than one race and other more often than the general population. It’s thus unclear whether these nominees evince any significant racial bias.

    The bias toward middle-aged, Harvard-educated former Clinton appointees is incontrovertible, however.

    @48 – seriously, I voted for bush the sequel, but that doesn’t mean I support “fuzzy math!” from the link you provided, I’m not sure how you arrive at your figures. specifically, of all the appointees, only 26% were “identified” minorities. furthermore, only 33% were women. if anything, he has a bias for slick willy appointees. nevertheless, I can’t be wrong – until the 12 clarifies what (s)he was suggesting, this is all just speculation. but thanks for playing…
