You know, it was one thing when Obama broke up with James Dimon and started cavorting with representatives of other banks, like Vikram Pandit and Brian Moynihan, whose asses he essentially owns anyway. But now this? UBS, is he joking? And to play basketball, which he never invited JD to do and which he knows was a sport Big D excelled at in high school, making team captain junior year? Unnecessarily cruel. [AP]

JD was a basketball player? I heard he was around 5’9″. He must have some athletic talent.

Basketball with Wolf? Wolf played football at Penn and has added a few pounds since then. Verticle leap is likely under a foot so even Geitner could dunk over him. Wolf was a big donor early on so that is why he’s been getting these invites. They played golf together up there last summer so shouldn’t be a total surprise. Maybe Jamie should have been trolling the trading floor for donations like Robert was back in 2008 and then Jamie would have been invited.

@3 is spot on on all points. Wolf cannily dropped his longstanding Clintonista bent for a longshot bet on Obama and won.
