Nostalgia Moment: One of the first things I ever read on DB was an argument about the appropriateness of using circles (or cubes or something) to compare the relative sizes of things (diameter/area debate). I cannot remember the topic in question though, and its the first thing I thought of when he said “we got out a ruler…”

1:26 too long to communicate with the overwhelming majority of likely voters. The pictures help, though.

I don’t understand why extending the tax cuts to the “rich” are the “least effective thing we can do to get the economy growing.”

I thought the stimulus was the least effective thing we could do.

Hahaha….hilarious. I love the condescending and pandering white borad presentation that is akin to a grade 3 presentation. Shocking news that a fixed percentage of a higher value leads to a higher absolute value. Americans like pictures though and so I’m sure this works. I love the rhetoric and Goolsbee couldn’t be a more appropriate last name for this doofus who looks like a cocky Toby toby with that stupid grin on his face.

    Literally? NOT figuratively? Wow!

How does a guy who thinks raising taxes will stimulate the economy ever get a job in economics (no answer need, it’s a rhetorical question).

This video needs to be sexier to really push it to the masses. I suggest some explosions in between edits, breasts instead circles (with Katy Perry’s representing 1m+), blast some Final Countdown as a music bed, and a midget with a laser pointer wouldn’t hurt.

I find that when paired with visuals, audio is highly receptive.

“It will cost us…” <– bullshit. Goolsbee is a sharp guy, but he (or his masters?) have forgotten that it’s NOT THEIR MONEY.

Goolsbee is likely more intelligent than you. Other than that, I have no concerns.

    Board and marker…marker…marker…

Absolutely right. I know an ex-NYSE guy whose unemployment just ran out arguing against letting these cuts expire. God Bless Assmerica.

I’ll concede that but I’d also point out that he’s likely “smarter” then you as well. I never explicity stated he was unintelligent and I’m sorry if I overlooked his intelligence while he was providing an overview of public policy aimed at kindergarteners with blantantly obvious populist overtones.
