We have no reason to believe such is the case! We simply offer up the timing of the aggressively awkward interview with Goldman Sachs’ Abby Joseph Cohen, the interviewer’s resignation several days later, and The Power Of The Squid. [NYO via DI]

Her interviews often were little more than pretexts for her to rant her rants. The Times can do better.

Maybe it was the journalist’s horrible choice of questions.

This is the same reporter who screwed up a Q&A at the 92Y with Steve Martin so badly that they apologized publicly and offered refunds to all in attendance. And Ira Glass complained that she had made up her questions and rearranged his answers out of context.

Does anyone not think Abby Joseph Cohen isn’t a joke?

  25. Posted by guest | February 5, 2011 at 11:02 AM

Can we honestly call her a professional journalist? Her line of questioning sounds like a its coming from a high school student for her school paper. She deserves to be fired! In fact, it even amazes me that she had the opportunity to invterview someone at GS given her idiotic line of questioning.

  26. Posted by Guest | February 5, 2011 at 6:42 PM

So why is Abby Cohen still working for GS?
