$$$ What Vikram Pandit Knew, and When He Knew It [Bloomberg]

$$$ “A year ago, a family living in this village in the middle of a marsh in the south of Russia revealed what they called a miracle: On the skin of their newborn boy, entire verses from the Koran were appearing, lingering for a few days, and then vanishing. One day, the looping swirl of letters ran down a chubby leg. Another, the name of God shone behind an ear. Quickly, images of Ali, now 2 years old, spread through the North Caucasus. To many, he became a symbol of hope for peace in a mostly Muslim region that has been at war, on and off, for two decades. Ali showed up on cellphone screens and Internet sites, and pilgrims flocked to this place, whose name in Russian means Red October Village. And then, seemingly as quickly as it had started, Ali was hidden from the world. For a few weeks now, the boy’s parents and grandparents have refused to allow outsiders to see him. The reason, bizarrely enough, is Anna Chapman.” [NYT]

    Weak.

The only time it’s ok for drinks to be on the ladies is when you are doing body shots.

Where the hell are these women making more than 20-something men hanging out/finding these guys? By 29 most of my guy friends are making $100m even ones not in Finance. Also: if this girl that makes $200m and hasn’t dated a guy who makes as much as her in 2 years, its her own damn fault, one way or another.

$200,000, working in IT, at age 29. The only “IT” people I know (of) that make that much at 29 are actually consultants at the big firms, not “IT people” the way most of us consider the term.

100k is pretty much anyone who is trying by their late 20s. If you like poor guys, you like poor guys.

Here’s an idea. How about Anna take her kind of reporting down to Egypt or Libya, Lara Logan style? Leave the little poor Ali-baba alone!

Everyone knows the crying statues of Mary, milk producing Goddess Annapurna relics and Jesus on toast are all profiteering scams. Let Ali have is 15 minutes, will ya?

In Soviet Russia Wednesday was Armed Forces a.k.a. Men’s Day, when dudes get treated; maybe that skewed the stats?

“The show also discussed rare skin disorders. It cited an Arabist who noted that the messages on Ali’s skin sometimes appear with spelling errors . . .”

Misspelling your whacky religious hoax is the Never Killing It.
