Area Police Officer Gives Video Of Cop Pepper Spraying Wall Street Protestors For No Reason Two Enthusiastic Thumbs Up

Earlier this week, a video was posted online of NYPD Deputy Inspector Anthony Bologna blasting a bunch of people at the Occupy Wall Street protest. Judging by the clip, it appears the spraying was not exactly warranted  and despite an initial statement by the police department expressing doubt as to whether it was edited to make the guy look bad, today it was reported that an internal investigation has been launched re:  Bologna maybe having an itchy trigger finger. While the NYPD probably would have preferred the incident not have been recorded, at least one guy thought it was great.

A Redditor has dug up a comment thread on Officer.com—an online forum for the law enforcement community—in which several forum members crack jokes about all the pepper-spraying that went on during Saturday’s Occupy Wall Street protest. One man’s burning eyes is another man’s source of laughter, as the old saying goes.

Chiming in from “Bigfoot Country” is a commenter who said: Those are great, the creaming kids are a hoot. I’m going to watch some more during football breaks. I’d love to see fire hoses employed, it would clean them up and clear the streets and sidewalks for traffic. We’d miss out on the entertainment though.

    Me and the boys stopped by the protest on our way to steaks last night and we all agreed that some of those smelly granola skanks were suitable for a hosing down….I've got a pair of dirty jeans that are nice and ripe so I thought i'd hit the scene on Saturday and see if I could not talk one of them into a dirty sanchez.

    We seriously messed up with this spraying incident.
    We actually intended to spray them with Dr. Pepper as their parents had instructed us to do.

    We hope this didn't cause too much angst among the crowd and hope they return soon.
