“It’s About Ambition And Personality, Not Cash”

Are you a male who graduated from a ‘top’ university, holding down a job in the financial services industry and searching for a woman who ‘desires your drive for success’? Are you a woman who fits that bill? Are you and your would-be love incapable of planning dates and get-togethers? A new website is here to help, apparently.

From: cass@cassworld.com
Subject: CassWorld – Sparkology.com, Dating Evolved! Use Code: CWO-RLD to Apply!

Hey,

It’s my pleasure to introduce an exclusive, upscale new dating site call Sparkology.com! It’s for Gentleman who are ambitious, creative, successful, young, professionals from top schools and Ladies who desire their drive for success. As members browes for dates Sparcology learns your preferences and uses behavioral algorithms to suggest potential matches. Just like pandora or netflix offers suggestions based on prior listening/viewing choices. This way members simply fill out their profiles and avoid lengthy questionnaires. Ladies pay $15/month membership fee and are allowed to browse and contact as many men as they desire. Gentlemen can browse as much as they want and are offered “Spark Packs” for $15 which allows them to contact 5 ladies of their choice. This way Ladies receive meaningful interactions from Gentlemen that are genuinely interested, while Gentlemen no longer need to spam dozens of profiles to get a response. This cuts to the chase, so to speak, and eliminates unwanted impersonal emails. Sparkology then has City Concierges offer ideas for fresh and innovative dates and experience based events where members and their guests can mingle in a casual, no pressure atmosphere.

Sound like something you’d be interested in? Then proceed but beware that Sparkology is not in the business of facilitating relationships based on cash, nor is it a place for men and women of loose morals to rub up against each other.

15 bucks a month for 5 ladies a week is the NKI

    • Alex says:

It's 15 bucks per month for a 5-Pack Spark Pack. Each spark entitles you to initiate conversation with a new woman. When she responds, it's free to continue a conversation. If the woman initiates, that's free as well. Women are far more likely to respond to your messages than on other sites because they know you are putting real value into your message and aren't just sending a message to every girl you see. – Alex, President

"Women are far more likely to respond to your messages than on other sites because they know you are putting real value into your message and aren't just sending a message to every girl you see."

$3 per message – if the chick thinks that is real value, she is gonna be ecstatic when I make it rain at the Olive Garden.

Does University of Phoenix count as a "top university"?

    – UBS VP

    • Alex says:

Sadly not. Though i hear they have a very rigorous iBanking curriculum… – Alex, President, UBS Veteran

  3. guest says:

I must be sheltered. I've never heard of an escort agency's concierge service. Is that the pimp or the bodyguard?

  4. Guest says:

Is the 5-for-$15 deal a monthly, weekly, or daily thing?

    – S. Berlusconi

    • Alex says:

You would pay $15 per spark pack of 5 sparks. You may purchase as many spark packs as you like. – Alex Furmansky, President

      • Guest says:

So you're confirming that, if I "burn through" my first five ladies in an hour, that I can go out and buy five more?

If so, I have a follow up question… what is your policy on time limits?

        Thanks,
        Steve

        • Alex says:

Thank you for asking. You could buy more, but we monitor to make sure there are no specific people who over-abuse the system and just buy hundreds of sparks to the detriment of the overall user experience. Also, if we find that the general market has oversupply of outgoing messages, we will adjust rates accordingly to create the ideal supply/demand equilibrium. The Spark pack system is put in place for (i) women to receive more meaningful, personal messages and (ii) men to receive a higher response rate. Those goals will continue to underlie all decisions related to treatment of Sparks.

Clearly this woman has no idea who she's dealing with or what she's doing. 2AM at The Patriot? Try 12:30AM in Penn Station.

A new business that includes algorithm and spells "browse" wrong in the same introductory email…NICE!

  7. someguy says:

Wait, I have to pay extra, and pretend to be interested just to bang some gold diggers? I'll stick to running trains on match

    • Guest says:

Maybe I'm wrong, but I think that this mindset is the kind of thing that keeps a lot of women from using match.com.

  8. Chris Hansen says:

Given their "Safety Tips", it sounds like guys from the top 30 universities are also sex offenders:

Nearly all of these safety tips would apply to any first date, whether you met the person on Sparkology, at a bar, or through a friend.

Use the time to check out each other's ID's. It's a fun way to laugh about how you looked when your ID photo was taken, AND verify the person's identity :)
Take your own transportation – do not let your date pick you up and drop you off on the first date
Meet in a public place in a busy part of town
Meet at a reasonable hour when there will be many people around
If you end up at a bar, watch your drink to make sure your date doesn't put anything in it; oh, and remember to stay sober until you're comfortable with the person
Tell a friend or family member that you are going on a date and tell him or her where you're going

This is probably the easiest way to come into money.

Can I find a woman who is able to train my pig to play a base guitar? UBS candidate

This joke will be really funny if I keep doing it.

    – Guy who keeps posting as "Alex, President of Sparkology"

  15. Guest says:

For your own sake, please randomly read about half a dozen posts on this site and the comment threads before posting any comments of of your own.

-Guy who winces at people who don't realize they are embarrassing themselves

  16. Peggy says:

My name Peggy, you come to our web site Sparkology.com or maybe it's Sparcology, okay?

  17. MeVC says:

"Local concierges ensure a smooth transition from online to offline"…. is that code for threesomes?

  18. WhyNot says:

Funny comments, but the site actually sounds like a good idea. I've had plenty of friends (male & female) complain that other online dating sites suck. Why not keep set up a pricing structure that keeps douchebags out? I dunno maybe I'm asking the wrong crowd.

  19. Guest says:

It doesn't look like a bad idea… I know a couple people who use Match & one who uses eHarmony. They've showed me some of the messages they get – kind of embarrassed go be a guy because of it. "Hi ur cute." I don't know if I'd waste $3 to send that to *one* girl who I'd bet wouldn't respond if other people are writing good messages.

  20. Guest says:

As a match.com user who's message inbox looks like that of what I am imagining the inbox of a Jersey Shore casting director looks like, I do see why this site could be interesting.

  21. Guest says:

    She is definitely a sparkler!

  22. Pete from the Bush says:

From their website (with reverse type which is "oh so classy"

Why did you limit the men to be graduates of the Top 30 schools?
The top concern listed by women who had tried online dating services before was the lack of quality among male candidates found on those sites. The women on Sparkology are not looking for a one-night stand with a bus boy – they are looking for a real gentleman. While there are exceptions to every rule, men who attended prestigious universities typically possess some or all of the following traits:
    Intelligence
    Motivation/ambition
    Financial independence
    Good long-term values
    Good family/pedigree
Again, we cannot guarantee that every man you meet on Sparkology will be "the one", but the difference between our candidate pool and the pools on other sites is literally night and day.

Not to generalize or anything, but have any douche bags ever attended a Top 30 School? And if they're not looking for a one-night stand, how many dates do I get before getting a hummer?

  23. dfdfef says:

    o yea and UBS sucks

  24. Abe_Froman_ says:

Can someone who’s firm doesn’t block dating/porn sites (SEC perhaps) list the “top 30” so we can all make fun of the included schools.

    • PermaGuestII says:

Can't seem to find the actual list on the website. Did find this gem, though:

"…men who attended prestigious universities typically possess some or all of the following traits:

      •Intelligence
      •Motivation/ambition
      •Financial independence
      •Good long-term values
      •Good family/pedigree"

Looking at the people I've worked with over the years, I'm not too sure about this…

Can we substitute CFA Level IV for a top 30 school?

  26. TexasTrader says:
