    I think it's in reference to the situation in France right now, where the Socialist party is on the verge of increasing the top income tax bracket to 75%. Devil = the rich, exploitative capitalist.

    Essentially, he's thumbing his nose at the 99%. In the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. Not a good look.
