Charlie Gasparino Has An Idea

As the world’s foremost business and economics reporter, everyone expects Gasparino to attend the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. The only problem is, he doesn’t like Swiss food, he doesn’t speak German, and, most importantly, skiing is no substitute for brutalizing ones’ pecs in the weight room. For these reasons, CG is a no go. Now, if you’d host the WEF in a more congenial location–a cigar bar, perhaps, or at a boxing match–you might pique his interest. Hold it at a classy Italian restaurant on East 54th Street and, well, let’s just say you can pencil him in.

I love that he doesn't get that he is like the high school loser with drugs or the really hot sister. Yea, the cool kids ("fat cats") talked to him, but it was only to forward their own agenda.

Which one? The one with the "3 ways to make women chase you" teaser? Same here.

Serious question: what's the big deal with this guy anyway? I don't think I've actually ever read anything he's written, and I might have seen him on squawk box or whatever…once.

    - guy who suspects he's missing an inside joke of some sort and if CG is an actual, like, reporter, then who also apparently doesn't notice the name of the author of the articles he reads…other than Matt

Nah. He is pretty much a douche with an extremely inflated sense of self worth (think 1st year bankers in an "analyst" program * 10). But, he will get quotes or info on big events from time to time. What he doesn't realize is that it is because the "inside source" is really using him as a pro-bono PR firm.

Over, did you say over? Was it over when the Germans bombed Switzerland?
