Bank Of America Introduces Revolutionary New Summer Associate Policy (12-Hour Work Days)

Back in January, Bank of America did something radical. Something so wild that it had to be seen to believed. It told junior bankers to only work two full weekends a month. Now that enough time has passed for that to sink in, management is back with another drastic move affecting company youth.

According to someone familiar with the matter, the bank has decreed that summer interns shall not work more than 60 hours per week, essentially making them quarter-time employees.

Heck, work 10 hours a week! We're all about balance and having fun at BOA. Just make sure you have those comp and cash flow model(s) that would normally take me 90 hours to update done by Friday, also those pitch books aren't going to update and print themselves you know.

*Working hours now defined as M-F 6pm to 2 am and Sa-Sun 10 am to 8pm.
**Non-working hours will be reclassifed as "Hours you're expected to be in the office, killing time for your fucking MD to get around to looking at your 'urgent' edits you turned last night" and will be M-F 9 am to 6pm.

Oh yeah, and working 60/week will not really give us an accurate picture with regard to your individual capabilities and how you might fit into the cultural soup known as "BAML". Good luck to you and thanks for coming in.
