Congrats Bess!
So this implies that the SEC and other government agencies turned a blind-eye towards Stanford's ponzi scheme and let tons of people lose their savings by depositing it in Stanford's bank because the DEA wanted his help tracking drug money? Man, I love the war on drugs...
I'd pick staying on GS's board over the fed too
I am glad Eliot brought her into my life
I love that Aubrey got a shit-ton of options/awards to help make up for the fact that he had to sell like $1 billion worth in a margin call. What a d-bag
I really hope no one signed their apartment lease yet...
Does CNBC not get the WSJ? They're too busy talking about swine flu and Chrysler to mention Citi and BofA's failure.
Did they borrow Air Force One for that? It looks like it has the blue at the front
Requisite obnoxious, elitist comment: Notre Dame has a business school? Learn something new everyday...
@32 On behalf of myself and all the other Wharton grads, please shut the fuck up
@4 It's a waste of time responding to the people who ventured over here from Yahoo
If the Senate passes this, I better see a lot of Drudge sirens...
Wow cnbc wow
@40 Mr Legally Educated... could you please cite some examples of "narrowly targeted and retroactive" taxes in the US? I had the belief that the Constitution (Article 1, Section 9) frowned on retroactive measures (although admittedly there are some exceptions)...
Is this the spot where I make a derogatory fix it again tony remark?
The derivatives group in London should be shutdown and, at the very least, AIG should be working on encouraging those people to quit. They don't deserve their bonuses (even if they were guarantees) and AIG should have dared them to sue for the money. Good luck winning that case... However, weren't the bonuses paid on Sunday? If those guys were smart they would have moved themselves, their money and their families to Switzerland early this morning... Thank you Obama for coming to the party a day late...
