I don't know why you guys complain all the time. I really enjoy Matt's stuff. He actually know what he's talking about which is a rare thing in a financial market commentator.
This is probably the best and most interesting post I've seen yet on Dealbreaker. A little more profanity and it would have been flawless.
Wait - does anyone NOT get at least two weeks of paid vacation a year? What the hell sort of country is this? I've lived/worked here for almost 10 years, and it never occurred to me that there were full time jobs which didn't get paid vacation. That's just weird. I bet none of those jobs pay more than $50k.

Wow - that's quite a difference. All this messing with accounting rules has really made it impossible to determine exactly what's going on inside banks. Not that it was ever easy, but now it seems like management can just make up whatever they want. Means I don't know whether to remove my shorts or not!
Jobs are all back-office according to Bloomberg, so not like it matters...

Friend of mine who is a prop trader tells me that his comp went from 8% of revenue in a normal year, to a mere 2% of revenue this year. He's not pleased - was expecting 4%!
