You'll always be "seven diamonds" to us, Bess.
Publishing industry works like Hollywood. You can make any crap movie you want as long as Nick Cage is the star, and it'll make money. Same here. Names sell books.
That is was *crass* certainly didn't stop Barron's from repeating it, now did it?
God bless Alan Greenspan. He flooded the economy with cheap money, keeping us from feeling even the slightest twinge of pain. He cleaned up after us, credit binge after credit binge. And he spoke an odd dialect of Olde Economics English, now known as Greenspeak. Here’s a sample: “I guess I should warn you, if I turn out to be particularly clear, you’ve probably misunderstood what I’ve said.” Ah, the master… The Fed’s new occupant? He says what’s really going on, and people just can’t deal.
To 11:16, why in hell would someone work to get an engineering or math degree and then go teach at a public highschool for peanuts instead of working at an IB or HF. I'm sure there are a few who do this, but I think the overall result would be an overwhelming lack of teachers. While I agree that Algebra, Geometry and even Calculus would be very helpful for MOST people to understand, I'm fine with the current environment. Smart kids seek out tougher classes and end up more successful. Other kids don't seek out challenges, barely get through Algebra II and end up in a job where they never need Alegbra II.
