There's really two classes of cubs, the original generation of Tiger Alums who launched their own funds (most while Tiger Management was around or shortly after it closed) and the second generation that were seeded by Julian and most of which reside in 101 Park.
David Einhorn did take his firm off (GLRE)
Nice catch with the cuffs on by Lindsay!
CNBC would be a far better netwrok if Dennis "I don't know jack about anything, but I'll always express my stupid and uninformed opinion" Kneale were never on the air again.
Random Banker, I hate to get all personal, but if you're going to comment on someone's football acumen it's best to spell "quarterback" without the space in the word. Okay now back to the MHL for me.
Bess, I wanted 93 minutes of my life back. That documentary was so not worth it.
Someone on my desk here said yesterday that Haines said on air yesterday that we should just nuke Iran and be done with it. Can anyone else confirm this?
Blackstone, Blackrock - what's the difference? Carney, you mus be hitting the Mike's up early this morning.
3:38 - you must be hitting the MHL early today
"I heard the pool was full of...." ... MHL. And coke. Lots of coke.

joe - couldn't agree more. The more Ben Stein writes about economics the less I respect his opinions. The real problem is that so many uninformed people know who he is and think he's smart, so every time he opens his mouth you have to spend hours the next day pointing out the fallacies in his "arguments."
Bess, clearly you don't understand that Jimmie Johnson, much like Jeff Gordon, is a driver that only communists and hippies cheer for.
GSBSD - have you seen anything written about this, or just verbal. Hadn't seen anything confirming a delevering, just hearing speculation.
In other sugar-protectionism news: The US has a $0.50/gallon import tariff ethanol because Brazilian sugar-based ethanol is cheaper to produce and more efficient than corn-based ethanol. Seems logical to me that our government would make it more expensive to import a substitute for gasoline with Oil above $90/barrel. There is a lot of corn grown in a lot of different states.
Love the 3 different links Bess. Good work
JC - not to hate on your reporting, but Sears Holdings (SHLD), is actually Kmart, which Eddie bought in bankruptcy. He then used KMRT equity to buy the old Sears and renamed the firm Sears Holdings.
You know what else is driving food prices? Our government's decision to pose an import tariff on sugar-based ethanol (even though its more efficient and better for the environment), because its not made in midwest battleground state. So essentially they're taxing Americans my subsidising a less efficient ethanol and driving up your food prices. Next up: bailing out homeowners who took out piggyback loans and have no equity in their homes. Gooooooo Government!
How Low Will The Fed Go?
Here's some reading for you JC *The Punch Bowl Caucus* The motley collection of gazillionaires, conservatives, and industrialists begging the Fed to cut interest rates. By Daniel Gross http://www.slate.com/id/2172872/
Really wish your links were pop-ups into new windows so I didn't have to click back after every link.
