Um bit of a double negative there Lee. I assume you meant to say 'Why isn't this crooked low life lying bastard in prison with Madoff?' or perhaps 'Why is this crooked low life lying bastard not in prison with Madoff?' throwing spurious negatives like that around... you could have been a good accountant at Lehmans ;-)
I know she does not look like much, but trust me, she has a pussy like a vise grip bolted to a paint shaker.
What a load of C-R-A-P. Bess Levin, you have been snookered by a guy who lives in a world of his own making. Yep, maybe he did try to sell ML to BofA and the proposal wasn't welcomed by one of the ML board's most influential directors. Still, he never said in your article (or anywhere) that he tried to explain the CDO time bomb to the board (or to make the traders who put ML into the position explain it to them) so that they could see the merit of selling their gasoline-soaked house of cards to a bigger sucker before it caught fire. Nor did he mention (in your article or anywhere) that he tried to unwind any of the CDO exposure once the true risk was known. He was a weak, petty, vindictive leader who sought nothing but confirmation bias from his boot-licking, hand-picked underlings. ML's shareholders got what they deserved from his leadership and history will give him what he deserves for his actions. He'll be forgotten if he hasn't already been.

People helping people...gotta love the bystanders.
Nice try. Towns like Farmington and Avon (Hartford County) are just as nice as Darien, NC, Westport.... Please think before you type.
What should we do? Rookie LAPD Officer
Gee, c'mon guys he's altruistic and tells all today on MW he's just trying to help his friends.
He lives for the most part in Kiwiland where cream and butter are daily staples. Given he's in the wine business, how does he eliminate the sugar part?
Spoken like a true sociopath. Full of bluster, threats, and a complete inability to take resposibility. It's our fault that you lied, cheated, and stole everything that you could? It's our fault for giving you the opportunity to take our life's savings. And if we try to stop you, you're going to take our jobs and eat our lunch? If bullshit was music, you'd be a fucking brass band!
"Who am I?"
Maybe it has to do with the hooters that just opened up there. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9xEnwa2HCR0
I am absolutely blown away by the low brow comments. Michelle is one of the few that sticks to her guns and asks the occasional tough question. Read the book and stop knocking people that actually have accomplished something in their life, you are all goofy losers without a shred of potential in life. Just think about the people that might read your comments, like her family or friends you nitwits. Grow up.
A lot of the top sell-side traders are leaving for citadel. They pay extremely well, you get to work with some of the smartest people in finance, and Chicago is a much better city to live in than NYC.

I would think that the police would be patrolling any nearby bridges and warning people to stay away from the shit dumping tour bus in response to the attack on tourists in Chicago a few years ago.
Hey TRB, do you have a shred of proof that this guy Tourre is Jewish at all? (and no, the fact that you're a vicious, dumbass racist is not sufficient proof).
Damn, I left my jacket there.
#8 where can I contribute? Just read the book. You can laugh at the green suit, pink shirt and orange tie (and he wonders innocently in the book why that great French nobleman M. de la Villehuchet passed up a chance to have Harry talk to Prince Charles) but everything in the book is clear and damning. And the prescription at the end for how the SEC should be run is bang on and the description of that c@nt Mary Schapiro polite and written in hydrochloric acid. Do those doofuses have Bloomberg terminals YET? and if so do any of them know how to USE them? One of 13 simple and unanswerable and clearly put questions he raises.
