Bad Bosses, Big Rewards

CoolHandLuke.jpg The best way to climb the corporate ladder is by stomping on those underneath you, according to a new study (ok…at least suggested by a new study). A recent study presented to a management conference showed that more than sixty percent of the time, abusing your co-workers works (almost) every time, in terms of getting promoted. Either way, you’re not going to get punished for crapping on subordinates.
Here’s more anti-karma, from Reuters:

“The fact that 64.2 percent of the respondents indicated that either nothing at all or something positive happened to the bad leader is rather remarkable — remarkably disturbing,” wrote the study’s authors, Anthony Don Erickson, Ben Shaw and Zha Agabe of Bond University in Australia.
