Also if you anyone noticed, there have been no requests for foreign banks, regional banks, boutiques, private equity, or hedge funds. So talent drain can go over to those institutions.

When the Banks came for my bonus,
I remained silent;
I was just going to waste it on blow and h00kers.

When they cut my Seamless allowance,
I remained silent;
Seamless made me fata$$ anyways.

When they came for the Christmas party,
I did not speak out;
Who likes open bar anyways?

When they came for my coworkers,
I remained silent;
Better them than me.

When they came for me,
there was no one left to speak out

Come on EP, none of these guys have any maintanence covenants and all of have have PIK toggles on the senior uns. So we won't know if there's a fire until the whole place burns down.

I agree there were not a lot PIK toggles in the grand scheme of HY bonds in '05/'06/'07. But the topic is on LBO-related HY bonds, and the % of LBO HY paper with PIK toggles is much higher than the overall HY paper with PIK toggles.

Obama could do whatever he wants and he will be perceived as doing no wrong. Do you think his constituency, like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P36x8rTb3jI person, even know that we have a Treasury Secretary?

Agreed. A lot of people (a lot of democrats actually) are seeing 2008 / 2010 analagous to 1992 / 1994. Sure dems will have the presidency and the house for 2 years, but I could easily see GOP taking the house back in force in 2010.

@28
Don't worry, I'll warm up a seat for you

The part that was edited was when the Sandlers (husband + wife who sold GoldenWest to Wachovia) were speaking, there was a headline below that said "People who should be shot." I guess you can't make death threats even through comedy.

Does not announcing a Christmas party = joining the war on Christmas? If so, I think there would be a lot more banks on the list.
