Been following this string and my only thought is this, get over it. Market puked, after way too many good years, and now BSC is the sacrificed lamb. This has happened before, it happened now and it will happen again.

Folks you don't work for McDonalds, it's the nature of the game on the street. You can win big or flame out large. I can not even believe I have to point this out. Too bad - so sad.

@9:03
No drama, no lameness. Face it, the beast of Wall Street turned on you large. Sorry about your luck. How do you think Joe Lewis feels?

It's really too bad because, I know, BSC has alot of great people. But again, you live by the sword and die by the sword.

I hear McD put out some amazing results, why not give them a shot, at least its real work.

Entry: Jobs Of The Week: Work At, You Know, And Think You Might Need One?

Commodities are the next bubble to burst. You are too late to cash in.

Taking a job in commodties is akin to taking a job at NorTel. You will receive countless promises of riches, but when you arrive, you will find there is nothing there.

Mark my words. Oil will settle back large, probably around $75. The speculative bubble is about to burst. My rationale:
(1) Alberta, Canada has enough oil to feed USA and China, from its tar sands, for about 200 years. Yes it's an ugly process but it works. I am told b/e point for this process is around $45/BBL

(2.) Cartel is not stupid, they know this fact. OPEC completely understands this fact. That is why OPEC is so non-differential. All the cartel does is watch and listen.(to date - BTW the Canadian reserves I speak of are not part of the cartel, they control roughly 40% of the market)

(3.) Hedge funds are collapsing as I type this. They will quickly learn BSC's lesson. Once the credit lines dry up, you are stuffed. So oil is a fool's game ... still in?

I can assure you, once this realization hits the market, the BSC flame-out will look like a picnic.

thx for the bit on SocGen. This story fell under the radar today, but you picked it up.
This news is huge, read SocGen knew exactly what was going on. They chose to do nothing as long as dude made money. That is why only rogue traders that lose money are reported (credit to DB on that one).
Curious to see how SocGen manipulates this news.
My call, as in WWII, they will say surrender was the only option, even when they knew for months what was coming and did absolutely nothing.

Seriously, you kind folks of the chosen people, stop reacting, it just gets worse when you do.
We all know that the Holocaust was terrible, we don't need your reminders. Sadly it is not the only known genocide in recent history. It is just the best publicized. So let it go.
Kudos to Bess - you rock.

@4:05 has nailed it perfectly.

I am not a broker, so really don't care about "know your client" rules. All I can say is this, the dude knew exactly the risks he was taking.

Like Joe Lewis, he thought he was smarter than all of us. He was wrong. Sadly, it does not matter.

Like the billionaire that he (they) are, always remember this, its just a game for these dudes. I can assure you, its really nothing for them. They will be fine. "just a drop in the bucket" for them.

I can assure you that Joe has all sorts of stuff hapenning in The Bahamas. The old man probably does not even care!

Just another FX strategey.

Though I see your angle, vaca in the Far East, next thing you know it, you are Far East correspondant.

Hope it works out mate.

Anyone that has had the good fortune to visit Swissie knows that CH is one of the most highly fortified nations on earth. Compulsory military service until 55, hidden gun emplacements on highway passes, hidden runways etc etc
There is a good reason that all the rogues deal with Swissie, they know they will always be there.

BP, ExxonMobil, Total etc.. They are all the same. They are just riding the bubble and seem to ignore it will implode. Sorry hedgies and oil traders, you are riding a very dangerous wave.

Loved the Rockefeller family's comments about good old-fashioned oil. In short, we all know its eventually dying. Just wait until the general population react to obscene price-gouging. In other words, my opinion does not matter, but the consumer's opinion does. Do not under estimate market shifts.

Pure oil companies will become like purveyors of buggy whips, in the last century, they will just disappear.

posted by JorgeCad

Looks like Jeff Martz turned adversity into opportunity, or perhaps blind luck? ...not - read on.
He ended up in RU and LV at the exact right time, ie new economies embracing capitilism (well sort of) with oligarchs looking to hire anyone that had any remote I-Banking skills, coupled, of course, with local language and cultural skills.
Dude was just in the right place at the right time.
Read the dude made out like a bandit, based on his very limited experience. My guess, he is a billionaire (at the very least a multi-millionaire.)

sucks eh?
