Yeah I don't get the 11-25 clients bit. I can name nearly 25 individuals with money directly invested in separate Madoff accounts.

@73, While I agree it is not likely to be $50B, some of your assumptions are off. e.g. the "Club", as you called it was not primarily through FoF. I can think of most of $1B that was through one of the larger "Club" members. And that doesn't even touch on the PBCC which was direct, not FoF. And $1MM is not much for the people who were in. IIRC I heard the minimum was $1MM back in say 1997.
