Can't quite accept that notion...talking about carnality can take up hours, but actual carnality is usually done within a few hours..if you include chase or prelude...where as sticking it to underperforming pensions of acquired entities has been the shmorycles real sense of being...take an old company with decreasing operating revenues and a large underperforming underwater pension from when it was a larger enterprise...take it from minus 150 basis points per year to plus 300 basis points per year and the rest of the money 10 years down the road is booked as profits on a business that someone just gave away to you because they forgot to notice that there are over 200 days per year to trade with and all that counts is going 100 up one day and 20 down four days to stay way ahead of the market every week...
